Dr. Vivek Kumar Singh, Faculty Member from Agriculture department of AKS University, participated in an international conference held recently in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The conference had been organized between 29th to 31st of March, by the name “ICFA-2018, Outstanding Achievement Award”, where Dr Vivek Kumar Singh was awarded for his valuable contribution to agriculture field. Dr. Singh was also awarded with Best Presenter Award for presenting the Research Paper of Gayatri Sahu, one of the students of AKS University.

 Two more Faculty Members named Mr. Nag and Akhilesh Jagre (both from AKS University, Satna) were also felicitated with Young Scientist Award in the same forum. On this occasion, Dr. Vinayak Sadekar, and Mrs. Asmita from Ohiya University were also present, while the function was chaired by Dr. Esmail Ducate, Prof. from Nebraska University.

With an objective to carry out the economical upliftment of the farmers of Satna region, the Training and Placement Cell of AKS University organized a seminar on Wednesday. During the seminar, Sanjeev Masaliya shared the various schemes initiated by Atulya group for the benefits of the farmers. The seminar was attended by the top officials of AKS University, along with the 200 farmers, specially invited for this purpose.

 One of the other objectives of seminar was to provide the farmers a fair price of their harvest. The Atulya Group, which has been directing various schemes of agriculture in countries like India and Africa, had the interaction with the farmers. Detailing Atulya Group activities, Mr. Masaliya told that the main purpose of its group is to make the agriculture a profitable business. He said that Atulya Group aims to set up contact with at least 200 farmers from each and every district of the country.

Complementing the efforts of AKS University, he said that the concern of the farmers should be a social concern, and AKS University needs to be appreciated for being focused on it. Mr. Masaliya also conveyed information related to the Micro Finance, Money Transaction, Wind Energy, Power Plant, Power Plants running through Solar Energy, and Thermal Power Plant. Apprising about its further schemes, he said that the farmers will be also trained for gaining best profit, out of their harvest. He received the information about the various agriculture courses running in AKS University and termed them as futuristic as well as employment oriented. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor (AKSU): Paritosh Banik, Pro VC: Dr. Harshvardhan, Dean Agriculture: Dr. RS Pathak and HoD Agriculture: Dr. Neeraj Verma were present.

A Two days Workshop on “Functioning of Air Conditions and Coolers” was held in AKS University between 22nd and 23rd of March, where 6th semester students of Mechanical Engineering received the practical training on “Functioning of Air Conditions and Coolers”.

  Addressing on the occasion, Dr. Pankaj Shrivastava briefed the students about the outline of Workshop, while Ketan Agrawal extensively informed to students about various functional intricacies of air conditions and coolers. At the end of Workshop, all the fifty students were distributed the “Workshop Participation Certificates”.

Civil Engineering students of AKS University participated in Mega Lith-2018, recently held in IIT Khadagpur between 9th to 12th of March-2018, and exhibited stunning example of their brilliance in various events organized there. Notably, the students of AKS University, advancing towards the path of progress, have been hoisting the flag of University in various national and international forums. Extending the series, civil engineering students of AKS University took part in Megalith-2018, and achieved the second and third ranks in events, outshining to students of various prestigious institutions.

 The students of AKS University impressed the judges in an event named Roto layer, and achieved the second position, competing with other students. Roto layer is a design, which has the maximum transmission, and converts the potential energy into kinetic energy.

In the same fashion, students participated in Model exhibition, and were ranked third in competition. The students prepared a model of Hugli River Bridge situated near the Haldiya port, the length of the model was, in ratio of 3.31 km.

 In both the events, students named Susheel Gautam, Lalit Dwivedi, Virendra Kumar, Adarsh Jain, Akshay Raut, Shubhanshu Tripathi, Sandeep Ahirwar participated.

The students of Pharmacy department have brought laurels to AKS University by securing higher ranks in Graduate Aptitude Test-2018 organized recently in all India level. Informing about it, Surya Prakash Gupta, HOD (Pharmacy) told that the students named Shivam Kumar Pandey (AIR-827), Narayan Dhanwani (AIR-1227) and Yudhishthir Singh Baghel (AIR-2018) have secured thumping ranks in a challenging test organized by “All India Council of Technical Education” in India level.

             Students thus qualified in test, will be able to pursue courses like M.Pharma, MS, and MBA in top AICTE approved colleges with scholarship amounting Rs.12400. Er. Anant Soni (Chairman, AKSU) has congratulated the students for their achievement.
