Shivani Garg (HOD, Civil) participated in an International Conference recently held in Bhopal, where she presented a sententious Research Paper on the topic “A Methodology for Structural Evaluation of in Service Flexible Pavement Using Falling Wet Deflect Meter”. While presenting her Research paper she told as to how one can carry out the structural evaluation of the road using an easier methodology. She demonstrated the methodology through a software, which has specifically been designed for this purpose. In Conference, approximately 150 candidates from various countries participated to present their Research Paper. The Research Paper of Shivani dragged the attention of the people, and was widely appreciated by them. Management (AKSU) has congratulated Shivani for the Research Paper presentation.

8th semester students of B.Tech (Civil) visited the construction site of Satna -Fly-over, and observed the procedure being adopted in its construction. Divyani Singh, SDO, Skylark Company, guided the students during the training. As it is well known, Skylark Construction Private Limited has been given the contact of Satna-Fly over construction work. The training programme lasted for one month, where students received the extensive knowledge of Traffic volume, soil testing, construction of pile, pile cap, test of cement and concrete, slump test, concrete cube test and how to construct pre cast slab. Students named Lalit Dwivedi, Mrigendra Singh, Dharmesh Singh, Vikas Singh, Ankit Singh, Vinay Patel and Vivek Shukla participated in training, and carried out all practical works during the course of training. At the end, students were quite satisfied with the training programme as they were now equipped with the practical knowledge as well.
Approximately 100 Students of Saraswati Higher Secondary School, alongwith their teachers, visited the AKS University on Wednesday, where they were counseled and conveyed the valuable information pertaining to academics, course and career selection. On this occasion, OSD-RN Tripathi, Administrator-RK Shrivastava, HOD(Civil)- Shivani Garg, HOD(Pharmacy)- SP Gupta, HOD(B.Tech,Ag)-Ajit Sarhate informed the students about the existing educational system, Labs operationalised in various Faculty, security and evaluation system of AKS University. Principal and teachers of school, giving their opinion about AKS University said that the highest level of teaching facilities and the environment, being provided by AKS University, in a very shorter span time, is really commendable, and gives pleasant surprise to people as soon as they step in AKS University. During the visit, students viewed all the Labs, Herbal Garden, Cow ranch, Biotech lab, Pharmacy lab, Food tech lab, Work shop, Poly house, Agriculture field, Mushroom center, Gau-amrit, Chikitsa Kendra, IT center, and CCTV monitoring room. Faculty Members of AKS University guided the students during the visit.
With an objective to get the practical knowledge of electricity production, 6th semester students of B.Tech Electrical Engineering visited the 220 K B,Sub-Station situated in Sitpura. Following the guidelines of Rama Sharma (HOD, EE), Er. RK Shriwastava and Er. DC Sharma, students visited the Sub-Station, where they learnt the intricacies of Electricity production from S P Sharma and R D Singh. Engineers employed there in Sitpura Sub-Station told the students as to how the electricity is controlled by Sub-Station to carry out its distribution in various places. Besides this, students were also informed about the various high tech instruments used during the electricity production. Speaking about the next segment of visit, Rama Shukla, HOD, EE told that the students will visit 765 Megawatt Lalpur Power Grid Corporation Limited in days to come. “A group of 15 students will participate in training scheduled to be held in Lalpur Power grid, which will be completed in certain number of phases” she further added. During the entire visit, students were guided by the Faculty Members from Electrical Engineering department named Diwakar Dubey, Acchut Pandey and Ravi Nagvanshi.
Vivek Kumar Singh, Faculty Member from Department of Horticulture, was felicitated with the Young Scientist Award in a National Conference held between 27th to 28th of January, 2018 in Veterinary College of Patna, Bihar. Informing about it, Vivek Kumar Singh told that the Conference had been organized on the topic “Livelihood and Food Security, 2018”, where he presented two papers along with one Review Paper. Working under the Indo-Iran joint project, Vivek Kumar Singh and Ali Jabbar Abdul of Firdausi University, Iran, Jointly presented the paper on the topic Effect on “Puttetteresian and Different Media on Vegetative Growth Florates and Some Bio-chemical Parameters of Gladiolus under Soil less Condition”. On the basis of his performance, Vivek Kumar Singh was selected for the Young Scientist Award. It is notable that all the papers presented by Vivek Kumar Singh, will be published in next edition of International Journal named Current Micro-Biology and Applied Sciences. On this achievement of Vivek, Management (AKSU), Dean, Directors, and all the colleagues have congratulated and wished him “all the best” for bright future.
