AKS University was conferred with the “Best University in ICT” award at a function named “Higher Education Summit”, organized in capital New Delhi on Friday. Er. Anant Soni (Chairman, AKSU) and S.K. Soni (IT Head, AKSU), received the prestigious award at the hands of A.K.Mittal, Member secretary of AICTE, and Arun Kumar, Member of Parliament.

 Every year “Center for Education Growth and Research” organizes the function like this to felicitate educationists, individuals and educational institutions, if their performances remain exceptionally well. Notably, AKS University met all the standards fixed by the higher education, which resulted into this prestigious award.

 “AKS University has been awarded for its innovative approach in imparting higher education, and for the optimum utilization of its resources related to information and communication technology”, University sources said.  As it is well known, AKS University, in past as well, has been bestowed with similar awards like  “Best Innovative University-2017”,”Most Innovative University in MP-2017”,”Best University in Rural Area-2016”.

 Students of AKS University are being provided the better opportunity to get exposure and brush up their core competency. Extending the sequence, this time, Mining students are set to get the vocational training in Thailand. Informing about it, Dr. GK Pradhan (Engineering Dean, AKSU) told Egat, an electricity generation company of Thailand, has selected four students named: Shubham Saraswat, Abhishek Kumar, Saurabh Kumar Pandey and Sardar Singh Bagri (all from Mining Branch,AKSU)  for the vocational training to be held there between 2^nd of June to 13^th of June, 2018. Students, who will be accompanied by Dr. BK Mishra, (Faculty Member, AKSU), will receive ten days training on mining,production,design reclamation, ultramodern museum and environment protection.

 Probably, first time in India, Mining students are going to visit Thailand for the vocational training. It is no denying the fact that the training thus received by students, will turn out to be a milestone to their career. Best Koki Automotive Limited, one of the leading companies, known for manufacturing of “transmission shifting system”, arrived in AKS University on Friday. Informing about it, MK Pandey (Head, T&P) told that the final year students of Diploma Electrical and Mechanical participated in Drive, and 14 students were finally selected by the company. Selected students will be working in Bilaspur and Haryana region on a salary package of 2.16 Lacks/annum.

 Names of selected  students are: Pratibha Sharma,NeerajPandey,Anurag Shukla,Dinesh,Kushwaha,ShivrajChaturvedi,ShashankKushwaha,SachinTiwari,AnandDwivedi,Pankaj Singh, Deepak Puri,Vipin Kumar,Akshat Kumar and Gagan Pathak.

           Notably, students of AKS University have been getting the opportunity to serve the reputed companies of both national and international level, and it reflects the existence of high quality education system, and the functioning of transparent evaluation system of AKS University, and therefore, students in large number take the admission here, enhance their knowledge and skills, and achieve the success in campus drives organized here in regular intervals.

AKS University, joining the hands with Indian Mining and Engineering Journals, Bhubaneswar, organized a “National Workshop” on the topic “Sustainable Development of Mineral Resources”. The Workshop was organized in Hotel Clarks, Khajuraho between 7^th to 8^th of April with an objective to convey the message on Environmental protection, and enriching the Mining sector.

 The function was attended by the officials of top industries, who discussed extensively on the intricacies of Mining Engineering. The industrial representatives, present on the occasion, also lauded the efforts of AKS University in setting up a high standard for the education of students.  

Felicitation and Prize Distribution: During the programme, Ranjan Sahay, Professor V.V.Dhar, and Professor Gopal Krishnan were conferred with the Life Time Achievement Award for their contribution to Mining Sector. On this occasion, a book written by Dr. G.K. Pradhan (Engineering Dean, AKSU) titled “Explosives and Blasting Techniques” was also released by the Chief Guest of the programme.

Students made Paper Presentation:  Twenty students of AKS University, who were selected for the PPT presentation, delivered their lectures in front of the top officials of companies like Prism Cement, Maihar Cement, Reliance Cement, Vikram Cement, Ultratech Cement, J P Cement, NMDC, Peetambara Lignite, Tata Spange, Khajuraho Minerals, Prankar, and SB Grainite. At the end of function, all the guests were distributed mementoes by AKS University and “Indian Mining and Engineering Journal.

Harshita Singh and Roshan Chakravathi (both are final year students of MBA) have been selected for the Vocational Training from IIM Ahmadabad after a certain selection process. Notably, both the students are currently pursuing MBA from AKS University, and will receive one week “Vocational Training” from one of the prestigious institutions of India.

Students were selected for training, after a “Test” recently conducted by IIM Ahmadabad. During the training, students will be trained by renowned Professors of Harvard School of Business, on the topics like Latest Business, Applications of Research, Marketing Entrepreneurship and Micro Finance Business. It is noteworthy; the Vocational Training thus received by students will assist them in career enhancement as well as help them to get better job opportunities in future.

 During the training, students will be provided the high class study materials as well. Students have given the credit of their success to quality education being given by AKS University, and to the Faculty Members.
