A seven day’s training programme, for the Civil Engineering students of AKS University was organized between 20^th of January to 27^th of January, 2018. During the training programme, Skyfy Lab’s trainer Vivek Singh conveyed the valuable information to students on Building Information Modeling and Construction Project Management using the Archicad software. In seven days programme, Vivek Singh touched the various topics like Generation of 3D Documents from Floor Plans and Execution, Learn how to work with resources by following deadlines, Learn Risk Identification, Monitoring and Controlling, Case Studies on Industrial Project etc. Informing further, Er Shivani Garg and Er. Vishutosh Vajpayee told that the training programme has helped the students in acquiring detail knowledge and applications of Archicad Software. Students also gained the knowledge about construction, Cost Analysis, Estimation of Project.3D Analyzer and Floor Plan. At the end of training session, giving the feedback, students told that the knowledge conveyed to them especially on topics like Building Information Modeling and Construction Project Management was absolutely incredible.

With an objective to encourage the students to perform well in future, a Chancellor Scholarship distribution programme was organized in AKS University on the occasion of Republic Day. During the programme, 333 students received the scholarship amounting Rs 11 lacks 59 thousand. On this occasion, Chancellor B P Soni announced to constitute a Chancellor Scholarship Club, and apprised the audience about the eligibility criteria needed to become its member, as well as the duties of its members. As it is noteworthy, the scholarship thus received by students will help them in monitory terms besides encouraging them to perform much better in days to come.

 Chancellor Scholarship Logo was unveiled:  On this occasion, symbol of victory; a bright logo, especially developed for the chancellor scholarship, was also unveiled. Logo unveiling ceremony was followed by the lecture of Dr Kamlesh Chaure, who informed at length about the duties and responsibilities fixed for the members of Chancellor Scholarship Club.

Excerpts from the lecture of Chancellor:  Quoting the lines from the book of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Chancellor BP Soni said that now a days, our country is beset with the problems like poverty, illiteracy and superstitions, and this is our collective responsibility to work for the eradication of these problems. Speaking about the importance of Chancellor Scholarship he said that its primary objective is to grade all talented students equally irrespective of their caste, creed and financial status.

Students, who were beneficiary: Through the Chancellor Scholarship approximately 333 students were benefitted, and the money amounting Rs 11 lacks 59 thousand was distributed among the students. Highest amount of scholarship was given to Mayank from B. Tech Mining followed by Neelam Dubey-12,900 from B.Tech Agriculture and Amar Pratap 12,900.

Under the supervision of Rajiv Gandhi College, District level Kho Kho Competition was held here on Sunday, which was inaugurated by Er. Anant Soni, Chairman AKS University. Before the starting of events, Er. Anant Soni had one one to one interaction with the players, and then he formally announced the beginning of games.  The first day of the competition was entertaining and full of nail biting contest. As it was a district level competition, so almost all the colleges of Satna such as Government Autonomous College, Commerce College, Swami Vivekananda College took part, and showcased the skills of their students. Finally, Government Autonomous College emerged as triumphant defeating Swami Vivekananda College in final. During the events, participants were accompanied by respective Sports Officers as well. Addressing to gathering, Er. Anant Soni said that the people should incultate the sports man spirit within them, and thus enjoy the games in fuller extent. He laid emphasis on maintaining required disclipine level while participating in games. Spectators present on AKS University sport ground enjoyed the nail biting events, and encouraged the participants through clappings and big round of applause. At the end of events, Er Anant Soni distributed the winning trophies to winners and wished them all the best for the future 

AKS, University, the educational pride of Vindhya region, has always been encouraging its Faculty Members to represent the University in national and international level, carrying forward the series, Dr.GK Pradhan, Dean, Engineering (AKSU) presented his research paper on topic Rock Blasting Technique on 38^th foundation day of Hindustan Copper, amidst the presence of hundreds of representatives from various other acclaimed organizations. The function was inaugurated by Santosh Sharma, CMD, Hindustan Copper, Rajasthan, and was presided over by Dr. GK Pradhan himself. Management, AKS University has congratulated Dr. Pradhan for his participation, with best wishes to present more research papers in days to come.

Satwik Visariya, the Faculty Member from AKS University, was felicitated with “Young Professional Award” in a function organized in Jhunsi, Allahabad. Informing about it, Satwik told that it was a national conference, which was organized by Sankalpana, The Multy Disclipanary Research Journal, under the theme “Promoting and Reinvigorating Agriculture, Extension Technological Innovations Sankalpana-2017”. Satwik Visariya was congratulated by Management, AKSU for the award.
