Ghanshyam Mhatre, the Vice President of Larsen & Toubro, the world’s fifth largest construction company, paid a maiden visit to AKS University recently, which was termed “significant” by the University sources. A training session was organized at the auditorium of AKS University, where Ghanshyam imparted the training to students on the topic “Design of Mind to Achieve the Success”. Interacting with the students and Faculty Members of AKS University, he frankly applauded the progress made by AKS University in recent Years.”AKS University has the immense talent, and I am impressed with the students and existing infrastructure of University”, he added. Appreciating the courses running in AKS University, he said that these courses are the excellent, and have high scope, as far as employment demand is concerned.

 The main objective of the visit was to have the interaction with the students, and to hypothesize the concept of modernization, and to promote it. Mr. Mhatre was apprised about the fact that the running syllabus of the courses is industry oriented, and helps in acquiring the practical knowledge of the subject, so that students could be transformed as competent professionals.

 During the visit, Mr. Mahatre assured to students of AKS University to provide apprentice training, vocational training and HR training in his company (Larsen and Toubro). Mahatre termed the visit as a result oriented and encouraging one. Notably, Ghanshyam Mhatre is a globally recognized executive coach, certified trainer, as well as a certified CEO. The visit of Vice President of Larsen & Toubro has also paved the way to set up collaboration between AKS University and L&T.

When it comes to give placement to students, the record of AKS University has been unparallel in this region. Extending the series of its campus drives, AKS University, the educational pride of Vindhya region, organized yet another campus drive, in which Siddhi Jain was selected for the post of Sales Executive with a package of 3 lacs/annum. Siddhi will be posted in Mumbai, and will work for the Mumbai Pan India. Notably, in previous years, the most reputed companies have organized their campus drives, which resulted into the selection of 1219 students, and the selected students are rendering their services in India and abroad. Speaking about the “success secret” of the students of AKS University, MK Pandey, Head (T&P) said that the fantastic performance of students has been the result of excellent learning environment being provided by AKS University, which makes the students industry oriented. On this achievement of student, Chairman: Er. Anant Soni, Pro VC: Dr. Harshvardhan have congratulated the student, and wished “all the best” for her bright future.

 AKS University, the educational pride of Vindhya region, which is also the remote center of IIT Mumbai, held a “Teachers Interaction Programme” on Saturday, where the Principals and Teachers of 30 Kendriya Vidyalaya participated. Under the guidance of Akhilesh A Waoo (HoD, Computer Science), a Video Conference Session was organized, where the Faculty Members of AKS University conveyed the entire information to teachers of Central School regarding the online admission portal (admission process and scrutiny ) of class-1 standard.

During the closing ceremony of the programme, Dupty Commissioner: T. Aarasu and Mrs Shahida Parveen were honored with mementoes. On this occasion, Chairman: Er Anant Soni, Pro.VC: Dr.Harshvardhan, Dr. GK Pradhan and Head (IT): Sonu Kr. Soni, and the Faculty Members of AKS University were present.

AKS University organized a three days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp between 14th to 16^th of March, 2018, which was jointly sponsored by Neemat and EDII.

 Beginning the series of lectures, Dr. Surya Prakash Gupta threw the lights on the objectives of the Awareness Camp.On this occasion Dr. Pradeep Chaurasiya delivered the lecture on “Historical Background of Indian Values Entrepreneurship and the Present Scenario”.

 Dr. RK Shukla conveyed valuable information on “Identification of Business Opportunities for Entrepreneurs and Mechanism of Product Selection”, elaborating further he said that the young generation has always been preferring the government job, but if they fail, they may decide to become an entrepreneur by capitalizing the various government schemes.

 Sharing the Dias, RL Pandey apprised the audience about the norms fixed to start the SSI Unit. On the second day of the programme, Chairman, Er. Anant Soni shared some interesting informations about the problems faced by the entrepreneurs at the initial stage of their business. Speaking about the advantages of R&D labs, he said that these may play a very important role in entrepreneurship development.

International Women’s Day was celebrated at the auditorium of AKS University, under the guidance of Rama Shukla (HoD, EE) on the topic “Time is Now, Rural and Urban Activities Transforming Women’s life.”The function was inaugurated with some valuable information pertaining to women rights in form of interesting stories. Addressing to women staff members, Dr. Devendra Patel shared valuable information related to Breast Cancer, and said that it was an incurable disease in past, but now, with the new inventions in medical field, has become a curable one, and good medical facilities for its treatment are available in our country as well. 

On this occasion, Prachi Singh, Karate Trainer of AKS University, led the team of women and students, and showcased their martial art skills. The students of MSW exhibited a drama to reflect the women’s rights, and the uplifting life style of Indian women. Sarla and Ratna Soni, through their beautiful song, tried to arouse the spirit of empowerment within women. During the function, Chairman-Er. Anant Soni, Vice-Chancellor-PK Banik, and all the women staff members of AKS University were present.
