AKS University, the educational pride of Vindhya region, has been ranked 27^th in MDRA survey, carried out by the India today recently.AKS University secured the 27^th rank as it stood on all the parameters like reputation,academics,research,excellency,infrastructure,environment, personality development, leadership,  career enhancement, objective and personal score etc. interestingly, AKS University has recently been conferred “Leading University in Central India Award” by Chief minister- Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

Where quality in education is concerned, University follows the views of PM Narendra Modi, who believes in innovation, giving up the traditional method of teaching so as to ensure the holistic development of students. Commenting on this achievement, Chancellor- BP Soni said, “AKS University is among those Universities which have been instrumental in carrying the education towards the heights of excellence, and the credit goes to the efforts of top officials of University, hard work of faculty members, their dedication towards teaching, and interest of students towards studies.

Chairman- Er. Anant Soni said that the award and recognition always motivate you to put more efforts in future. “Days are numbered when AKS University, on the basis of its educational quality, will secure an important position among the best universities of India”, he added.

AKS University, which has the distinction of being the educational hub of Vindhya region, was, on 19^th of June, felicitated with “Leading University in Central India Award”, in a programme held in capital Bhopal. Er. Anant Soni, Chairman (AKSU) received the prestigious award by Shivraj Singh Chauhan, (Chief Minister, MP) in a function organized by News-18 (MP&CG) here on Tuesday.

 AKS University, competing with prominent Universities and Institutions of central India, won the award for its innovative approach in education and academics. The award has once again proved the distinctiveness of AKS University in education, academics, evaluation system, and in terms of securing competent faculty members. Accepting the award, Er. Anant Soni, Chairman (AKSU) stated that the award will work as a catalyst for AKS University in its effort to achieve the heights of educational distinctiveness.

AKS University, also in past, has been awarded with the awards like, “Education National Excellence Award”, “Best Innovative University Award”, “Most Innovative University in Madhya Pradesh Award” and “Best University in IT Infrastructure Award”.

Winning the award like this, has transformed the AKS University into a place of celebration. The Management (AKSU) has been congratulated by the intellectuals, educationits and various sections of the society for securing another feather in its cap.

Reputed companies, in an unceasing flow, are arriving in AKS University for their campus recruitment programmes. This time, a company named “Mother Son Auto components Private Limited”, a Haryana based company came in AKS University, and selected the students for the post of “Trainee Engineer”. Selection process had three steps; written test, group discussion and face to face interview. M K Pandey and Balendra Vishwakarma kept on guiding the students during the entire placement process.

 An excellent system of “placement programme” has been developed in AKS University through which students systematically get the opportunity to appear in campus drives.

With a view to enhance both theoretical and practical knowledge of students, AKS University gives them the opportunity to visit various places of India and abroad. Extending the series, four students named Abhishek Kumar, Shubham Saraswat, Saurabh Kumar Pandey and Sardar Singh Bagri (all from B.Tech, 6th semester of Mining Engineering), under the guidance of Professor Anil Mittal and Professor B K Mishra, made an study visit to Miomo Lignite Mines, situated in Thailand. Notably, AKS University, every year, facilitates the abroad visit of its students, which help them in development of both knowledge and personality of students.

The visit, which took place between 4^th to 8^th of June, helped the students in gaining comprehensive knowledge of mine planning, west dump design, drainage and surveying. On 5^th of June, students interacted with experts and received the extensive knowledge of environment monitoring system, participation of community, operation control and stockpile management.

 On 6^th of June, students visited the entire site of Miomo Power Plant and received the knowledge pertaining to geological modal core logging, sampling and data collection, pit design, and also learnt the stabilization method. Students were also shown the gas storage tank; wagon tippler, gas plant, and operation department, where they got to see the drainage system, rock samples, geological, mine working and various mines modals. Apart from these, students also visited the Lignite Mine Study Center. The Study Center visit was followed by the students meeting with Director (Planning), where they, along with both the Professors, were honored with the mementoes of visit.

Er. Anant Soni, Chairman, AKS University, attended the 11^th international conference held in Hitkarinee Women College, Jabalpur.  Er. Anant Soni, along with Dr. Kaushik Mukharjee, attended the   conference in capacity of chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman shared his vast experience, and threw lights on higher education. Emphasizing on importance of research, he stated that the research, if remains genuine, and is carried out aiming at the betterment of society, always takes the society towards the path of progress. The conference which had been held on the topic “The education crisis and sustainability mission for better world”, witnessed the hundreds of research paper presentation by the participants. During the conference Dr. Archana Rathore, Joint secretary,UGC; Anil Mehra,Chairman,South Asia Management; faculty members from various institutions, participants, and a large number of students were present.
