Department of Pharmacy, AKS University organized a Two Days National Seminar at its auditorium which was sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, Council of Sciences and Technology, M.P. and co-sponsored by AKS University itself. The seminar was graced by the esteemed presence of leading scientists, researchers, scholars and the participants who participated and presented their views on the topic “Frontier Research in Natural Products”. It is no denying the fact that the AKS University has always been giving the supreme priority to research and development, the establishment of Research center in AKS University is one of the efforts in this context. As it is well known that our country is fortunate enough to secure the natural herbal resources in abundance,   need of hour is to explore and to ensure the optimum utilization of these resources. Extending the views mentioned above, the presenters added their views in their presentation on the topic Frontier Research in natural products, opportunities and challenges, extensive and substantial discussion took place on those medicines which were consumed in time immemorial and are useful and relevant to in present context as well.

                          On the second day of the seminar Dr. Richa Sri-Professor, Department of pharmaceutical science and drug research, Punjab University, Patiala delivered the lecture on the topic “Search for Nero protective against plants our journey”. Dr. AKS Rawat delivered the lecture on the topic “The recent development in herbal drug and role of quality and herbal formulation”. Dr. Prasun Gupta- “Discovery of marine natural product that impact human in bionic stem cell growth”. The seminar was attended by Chairman-Er Anant Kumar Soni, Pro VC-Dr.Harshvardhan and Organizing Secretary Surya Prakash Gupta was present.

In a shorter span of time of its establishment, AKS University has become an active member of Association of Indian Universities. AKSU, one of the members of Association, received the invitation of participating in “East Zone Inter University Kho-Kho Women National Games Competition” which was scheduled to be held in Bolepur Shantiniketan Vishva Bharti University, West Bengal from 29/01/2017 to 01/02/2017. Informing about it, Sunil Pandey, Sport Officer told that the women Kho- Kho team of AKS University stormed into the pre quarter final round defeating the Dumka University, Jharkhand. “The performance of the team players of AKS University named Pushpa Chaurasiya, Santavana Singh, Kanchan Sharma, Priyanka Murghee, Ekta Singh, Sushmita Soni, Shavani Sriwastava, Manu Singh, Dipti Shukla, Shreya Singh, Megha Sen and Deeksha Maravee has been remarkable one”, he said.

21 students of AKS University belonging to B.Tech Engineering and B.Sc, left for Bangalore under the guidance of Neelesh Roy, HOD, Physics to participate in Technical Fest Pravega-2017 set to be organized in Indian Institute of Science, Banglore,Karnataka.Informing about the students participation,Dr.Roy told that the students of AKS University will participate in approximately 20 events such as Hudunid, Treasure Hunt, Armchair Physicist,Fixit,Dextor Laboratory,Dydelian Oxen, FIFA-2017,Shutter Bug,Organisation,Molecular Morale, and Code Market etc. During the visit, students will participate in various workshops like Android Controlled Robotics, Spray Paint Art, CIBER Forensic, Theatre Improve and Music Workshop. With a view to prepare the students for an excellent performance AKS University had organized a training programme in which Virendra Patel, Sub Inspector, S.P. Office, Satna imparted the Hands on training  to students on Finger Print and Cyber Crime.

A function was organized to commemorate Swami Vivekananda, a youth icon and a source of inspiration for millions of Indians. Anchoring the function, Pragya Shrivastava, Faculty member from Computer Science department informed that the AKS University has decided to celebrate the Rashtriya Yuva Divas as Digital Yuva Divas. Kumkum Bhattacharya, the Chief Guest inaugurated the function by garlanding the portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Prof. Sajalkar threw the lights on the life time of the Vivekananda, delivering the lecture on the topic “Teaching of Swami Vivekananda to the Present Scenario.” Sajalkar reminded the people about the historical speech delivered by Swami Ji in United States of America. On this occasion an Extempore was organized in which students expressed their views on Swami Vivekananda. Akhilesh A Wau, HOD, Computer Science conveyed the valuable information to the audience about the Digital Transaction. The function was attended by Chairman-Er. Anant Soni,V.C.-P.K. Banik, Pro VC- Dr. Harshvardhan, Professor R.N. Tripathi, Dr. G.K. Pradhan and Er. R.K. Shrivastava. 

Maintaining its thumping record of organizing Campus Placement Drives, AKS University is providing opportunities to students in realization of their dreams; in this series, Metro Tyres Private Limited a Noida Based tyre manufacturing company organized a Campus Drive in AKS University. During the presentation, students came to know that this company manufactures two lacks tyres per day. Speaking about the drive, M.K. Pandey, Director T&P told that the students from MBA and BBA participated in drive for the post of Assistant Manager and the selected students will receive a salary package of 3.50 lacs/Annum. The names of selected students are: Rahul Singh, Bhagwat Mishra, Ramraman Jadiya and Vaibhav Shrivastava. AKSU management has congratulated the students on their achievements.

Food Technology Department of AKS University is set to organize a four days Kaushal Setu Skill Development Programme exclusively for the students of 2^nd year and 3^rd year. As it is well known, the training programme will be organized in a joint supervision of AKS University and a Bhopal based organization named Khushi Samajsevi Shiksha Prasar Samiti. The main objective of training programme is to impart training to students on Beverage, Bakery and Confectionery technology.  As far as Beverage training is concerned, the students will be trained exclusively on Alchohal, Soya Milk and Soya Paneer, where Bakery is concerned, students will be trained on preparation of various Bakery items like bread, cookies, Brawny, upside down pineapple,keromal clustered, walnut pie, backed cheese cake, baked progart, pumpkin. Training in confectionery technology will include the preparation of sugar candy, Toffee and chocklet. Members of Khushi Samajsevi Sanstha named Hemant Roy-Joint secretary and Sandhya Bhagat- Secretary will actively take part in training programme. The training programme will be organized under the guidance of Dr. C.K. Techchandani-Director, Food Technology, Dr. Rajesh Mishra-HOD and Snehal Singh- Faculty member from Food Technology Department of AKS University.

Campus placement activities are continuously taking place in AKS University, in this series; Axis Bank organized a campus drive here on Tuesday. In Campus Drive, 50 students from various streams like MBA and BBA participated and appeared in an online test. Two students named Riya Kapdi and Amita Singh Chauhan were selected for the post of Assistant Manager in salary package of 3.49/annum. On this achievement of students, Er. Anant Kumar Soni-Chairman, P.K.Banik-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harshvardhan-Pro VC, Dr. R.S.Tripathi-Pro VC, and R.N.Tripathi congratulated and wished them “all the best” for their bright future.

Acknowledging the importance of practical training, AKS University keeps on organizing the training programme for the students; it helps the students in learning the functioning of industries. In this series, AKS University organized three days training programme in NMDC, Kirandole Complex (Bailadeela, Chhattisgarh) on the topic Safe Practice in Blasting and Handling of Explosives. The programme was inaugurated by Vinay Kumar, Managing Director,Kirandole Complex and anchored by Dr.G.K. Pradhan. During the function subject expert Professor S.0. Jayantu from IIT, Raurkela passed on the extensive information to students on blasting and safety. This is the third time AKS University has organized the training programme in Bailadeela.

               One of the significant results of the training programme was the appreciation received from the people for the initiative taken by AKS University. As it is well known that the training programmes like these have been the part and parcel of curriculum, and these are instrumental in uplifting the efficiency of the students which results into “100% placement of students”.  

Mamta Pandey, Mayor, Satna made her presence at the auditorium of AKS University and conveyed detail information to students and the staff members about the Swacchata Abhiyan App. While conveying the information about the app, she urged the people to give their valuable suggestions using the App. She asked the people to send the photographs in app if the garbage and mismanagement is noticed by them. Speaking about the development of Satna in recent years she said that the people of Satna have seen the successful implementation of various schemes like Jalavardhan Yojna, Amrit Yojna and Awas Yojna.”Our next plan is the fixing of sever lines in Satna city” She promised. On this occasion Varun Sharma, one of the members of Swacchata Abhiyan conveyed the extensive information to people about the App and requested them to send the sincere suggestions so that the dream of developing Satna as a smart city could be realized. During the programme P.K. Banik-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harshvardhan-Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor R.N.Tripathi and the students in large number were present.

Rama Sharma, faculty member from Agriculture Department has been awarded the Doctoral degree on the  topic Studies on the diversity of fish fauna in relation to phisico chemical parameters of upstream of Tamas river under the guidance of Dr. Shivesh Pratap Singh,HOD, Zoology, Government Degree College, Satna. Speaking about her research work Rama Sharma told that the water of Tamas River is drinkable and there are 39 varieties of fishes available in the water of Tamas thus it provides the tremendous opportunity of employment to youths in field of fish production. On this achievement, Rama Sharma was congratulated by Chairman-Er Anant Kumar Soni, Vice Chancellor-P.K.Banik, Pro VC-Dr.Harshvardhan, Pro VC-Dr.RS Tripathi and Dr. Neeraj Verma.
