In a joint supervision of MSW department and Samaritan Society (a social organization), an awareness programme was organized here on Tuesday, which was presided over by Dr. Harshvardhan, Pro-VC, AKS University. On this occasion, Father Rony, Director, Samaritan Society informed that the person intending to donate the blood, may get himself registered as a donator, and may donate the blood as per requirement. If any person needs the blood, may visit the website, and can access the blood donator, as and when required, “awareness programme held like this, is an initiative to help the needy during his or her tough moments” He said. Dr. Mahendra Tiwari, HOD, Environment stated that blood donation done by one person, can save the lives of three people. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harshvardhan said that donating blood is an auspicious work, and it develops a cordial relation between donator and receiver. At the end of function, Rajiv Soni, HOD, Social Work extended vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and students, for making the programme a successful one.

He has worked in many companies based on Canada, Oman and Nigeria like countries in past.As far as the Profile of Virendra Kumar Singh is concerned, he has been working in Maihar Cement for the last 45 years in capacity of General Manager.With the appointment of these two high profile and experienced faculty members , the entire staff of Cement Technology as well as the students, have expressed pleasure, and hoped that the department will now touch new heights in years to come.
Five promising students of AKS University got the opportunity to participate in two days workshop, which was organized by the Larsen and Toubro Power Training Institute, situated in Badodara, Gujarat. Sharing their experiences, participants named Dharneesh Singh Parihar, Susheel Gautam, Lalit Dwivedi, Ankit Soni (Civil Engg.) and Ankit Singh (Mechanical Engg.) told that the workshop was based on the topic “Environmental Challenges in Energy Sector”, and its main objective was to carry out the extensive discussion on negative impact of pollution on our existing environment, so that its menace, and deceases caused by it, could be prevented. The workshop was organized between 14th to 15th of September, in which the Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board, and the engineers from all over India made their presence. At the end of the workshop, participants were distributed the certificate of participation. Participants of AKS University were congratulated by Chairman-Er Anant Soni, Vice Chancellor-Paritosh K Banik and Dean G.K.Pradhan, and were advised to share their knowledge with others as well.
A programme on “Entrepreneurship Awareness” was held at the Conference Hall of AKS University on 11th of September, which was attended by Dr. Sanjay Maheshwari, Director, Birla hospital and S. B. Singh, who is the Civil Surgeon in district hospital, Satna. Sharing his views on the occasion, Dr. Maheshwari said that new and innovative research is the only way through which Pharmacy field can attain a new dimension, and it should be the responsibility of educational institutions and Universities to create an environment, which is conducive to the research and development, so that young entrepreneurs could be produced, therefore Research Guides must ensure that the research work is genuine, and should be completed within fixed period of time, he further added. Dragging the attention of audience towards the medicine revolution, Dr. Maheshwari said that the pharmaceutical companies like Ranbaxy and Sipla occupy the top positions owing to the comprehensive and lofty thought processing of their Patrons. Advising to pharmacy students of AKS University, he said, that the students need to be focused on research, and should think out of box i.e. innovative one. Sharing the dais, Narendra Sharma said that the nation is observing an atmosphere of entrepreneurship all around, and youngsters are coming forward to develop themselves as entrepreneur. Addressing to audience, Dr. S.B. Singh said that the field of pharmacy has an unlimited scope, as far as employment possibilities are concerned. At the end function, Dr. Harshvardhan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AKSU, extended the vote of thanks to the guests and audience, who made the programme a successful one through their presence.
Two students from B.Sc. Agriculture have been able to get the admission in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central University (Pusa) Bihar, where they will carry out their research work as a research scholar. Both the students, named Prabhakar Singh and Praful Patel appeared in an examination organized by Indian Council and Agriculture Research (Junior Research Fellowship) in month of June. As per the rule, students selected like this, become eligible to get national talent scholarship amounting Rs 36,000/anum and hostel facility provided by Government of India. Prabhakar Singh has been selected for the Agri Business Management, and Praful Patel has been selected for Molecular Biochemistry. Both the students have given the credit of their success to highly developed educational system and competent faculty members working in AKS University. Chairman-Er Anant Kumar Soni and Vice-Chancellor Paritosh K Banik have congratulated and advised to students to work hard during their fellowship programme.
National Sport Day was organized at the premises of AKS University here on Tuesday, to celebrate the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyanchand. As we know, National Sport Day, which is celebrated all over India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hockey Magician Dhyanchand. On National Sport Day, various sports events were organized in AKS University, in which 400 students participated with all zeal and enthusiasm. Various sports events like carram, chess, musical chair, long jump, and badminton and spoon race were organized. On this occasion, Deans Hods and faculty members from various departments made their presence to encourage the students for good performance. Members of organizing committee were congratulated by Chairman-Er. Anant Soni and Vice-Chancellor PK Banik, for successfully organizing the sports events.
AKS University, the Educational Pride of Vindhya region organized a campus drive recently, which resulted into the selection of three students from Mining Engineering. Informing about it, AKSU management told that Joy Mining Services Pvt. Limited which is a Kolkata based well known Mining Company, came in campus of AKS University, and selected two B.Tech Mining students named Ganga Prasad Vishwakarma and Manoj Kumar Sanodiya. One diploma mining student named Shubham Kumar Singh was also selected by the HRs of the company. Selected students will get a salary package of four lacs/Annum. As it is evident, almost all the students of AKS University are getting the opportunity of participating in campus drives and showcasing their knowledge and skill to the recruiters of the companies, and in this series, a number of reputed companies are being invited to organize the campus drive here for the students of all the faculty. A three days Workshop on Entrepreneurship Awareness was inaugurated at the auditorium of AKS University on Monday. The Workshop is aimed at enhancing the knowledge of students about the entrepreneurship, its implication and various other aspects, so that the students may develop, within themselves, the qualities of a successful entrepreneur. The function was inaugurated by Kamlesh Patel, who was the Ex President of Vindhya Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Satna. On this occasion, Dr. Kaushik Mukharjee, HOD, Management Studies, systematically passed on the valuable information to the audience about the Historical Back ground of Indian values, Entrepreneurship in management scenario. The Chief Guest of the function, Kamlesh Patel told the students as to how he transformed his business from a small scale to a large scale unit, and it all became possible owing to the driving forces like hard work, associated with strong will power. Sharing the dais, Er. Anant Soni, Chairman AKS University told that AKS University wants to ensure that its students are equipped with the skills of entrepreneurship so that they could enable themselves to become self dependent. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harshvardhan, Pro VC, AKSU informed that AKS University is set to organize an Industry-University Conclave, which will make students aware about the job demand of the industries, so that they may groom themselves accordingly. 1108 students, up to May 2017, have been selected in various top national and international companies of India and abroad. In this series, one of the reputed power leader companies named Cummins limited organized a Mega Campus Drive, in which 19 students were selected. As far as company profile is concerned, Cummins limited is a well known name in designing, manufacturing, handling, filtration and ambition solution. It was an open campus drive, which observed the participation of students from adjacent districts of Satna like Sidhi, Singrauli, Chhatarpur, Shadole, Umariya and Katni. 70 Students from various streams like Mechanical, Electrical and Automobile participated in campus drive with full of enthusiasm. After the completion of campus drive, Vitthal Chaudhari, HR, Cummins Limited accepted that AKS University has secured an excellent academic campus with superb study environment. Out of 19 selected students, 12 are from AKS University and remaining 7 belong to other colleges. Selected students will work as Trainee Engineer in a salary package of one lac and sixty thousand rupees, along with perk and other transport facilities. Er. Students of almost all the faculties of AKS University are being sent in various national and regional industries to receive the vocational training related to the courses they are pursuing in AKS University. In this series, 14 students of 7th semester, B.Tech Computer Science have been receiving training since 5th of June in Moil Limited, Nagpur, and it will go upto 28th of June 2017. The objective of sending to students in Moil is to get them apprised about the use of computers in mining related activities such as stratography, surface generation, cross sactioning, economical valuation, project development and planning, database administration, SAP and network management, under the guidance of experts. Engineering Dean- Dr.G.K. Pradhan and HOD (Computer Science) Akhilesh A Wau have played a key role in facilitating training to students. After the successful completion of training a “Vocational Training Certificate” will also be issued to students. Chairman-Er. Anant Kumar Soni and Vice-Chancellor-PK Banik have wished “all the best” to students.
