Mechanical Engineering Department of AKS University organized a Guest Lecture for the students of B.Tech and Diploma Engineering which was delivered by Dr. Mukul (Professor, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad) on the topic 3D printing and ADTV Manufacturing. During his lecture, Dr. Mukul apprised the students about the significance of Mechanical Engineering. “The revolutionary changes being observed now a days in field of science and technology are the result of the significant contribution given by the Mechanical Engineering” he said. Imparting the knowledge to students about the 3D printing process Dr. Mukul told that the 3D Printing Process which is also known as Reverse Engineering makes it easier to manufacture various complicated parts in a shorter span of time. Lecture was followed by the Question & Answer session in which Dr. Mukul answered the queries of students. Dr. R.K. Shrivastava concluded the programme by extending the vote of thanks to all those dignitaries who made their presence.

Exim Infotech a Haryana based reputed infrastructure company organized a campus drive here on Tuesday in which 60 students of AKS University participated. Campus placement programme had been organized exclusively for the Civil Engineering students of both B.Tech and Diploma. Informing about it M.K. Pandey, Director T&P told that 3(three) students of AKS University were selected on the basis of their performance in Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.  Informing further he said that the selected students will receive a salary package of Rs 2.40 Lacs/Anum. Names of the selected students are Anjalee Soni, Md. Naushad and Mohak Khare.

Electrical Engineering Department of AKS University organized a guest lecture on the topic Substation Single Line Diagram, which was delivered by Er. Gaurav Mishra. Gaurav Mishra, Engineer, Haryana Electricity Limited, delivered the lecture to 100 students of B.Tech and Diploma and conveyed the valuable technical knowledge to students. During his lecture Er. Mishra explained extensively the meaning and functioning of Transformer, Substation Protective Devices, Isolator, Circuit Breaker Relay, Current Transformer and Voltage Transformer.

Ashwini A Wao, Faculty Member from Bio-Technology department has been able to get the space in an International Journal on the topic “Evaluation of Fito Remediation poteneoyal of Dhatoora inaugsia with reference to fore Heavy Metals Radium LED, Nickel, and Chromium”. Informing about it, Dr. Aswini told that the name of international journal is Current Environment Engineering, a monthly Journal which is published by the Banthem Science Publishers, Beijing, China and research paper has been  published in volume 4 of January 2013 edition which has been uploaded in educational social networking sites as well. “The Research Paper is based on Biotechnology and Environment Bio-Technology which gives the biological remedy (treatment) to the polluted soil of industries” Dr. Aswini added.

Dr.Dhreendra Ojha and Dr. Sacchidanand, both from the Commerce Department of AKS University have been able to get their research papers published in an international journal named Scientific Progress and Research on the topic “Effect of Demonetization in India”. Informing about it, Dr. Ojha, Faculty Member from Commerce Department told that the international journal has given the space to their research papers in its January 17 edition. Informing further Dr. Ojha said that no part of our economy has been untouched with the impact of demonetization but its impact has been observed especially on banking sector, automobile sector and on real estate though the service sector is unaffected. “Demonetization will have the impact on our economy and will help in prevention of funding to terrorism, the net profit of banking sectors may slump down as the banks are required to pay the interest rate in fixed deposits” he added.

MBA, Fourth Semester students of AKS University visited the Babupur, Bhilai, J.P. Plant, under the routine Industrial Visit Programme scheduled especially for the management students. During the visit, students received the extensive information from S.R. Goswami, AGM, J.P. Plant pertaining to production lay out, industrial relations, labour law, safety, time management and total quality management. Students had certain queries which were effectively answered by the industry personals. At the end of the visit, industry administration advised the students to visit again to acquire the more knowledge about the functioning of industries. During the entire visit, students were guided by Dr. Kaushik Mukherjee and Vijay Prakash Chaturvedi.

Communication gap and some of the barriers to communication, to a certain extent, are responsible for development of gaps in relations whether it is between father and son or husband and wife or among the brothers, and this miscommunication leads to the conflict among us. So, with a view to bridge the gap and to develop and restore the healthy relations among the people Varun Chamadiya, the innovator and motivator is going to organize a Workshop on 11/02/2017. The workshop is scheduled to be held in AKS University on 11th and 12th of February from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. onwards. Workshop will aim at to find out the causes of communication gap, and negative mindset, and the ways to root out them will be discussed. It is no denying the fact that the workshop will yield the benefit to the participants and will bring the substantial changes in their lives. AKS University organized a certificate distribution programme on 7th of February for those students who have received training on Remote Sensing (Geographical Information System and Global Positioning System) from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun. As it is well known that a thorough training on Remote Sensing was imparted to 77 students of Agriculture Faculty of AKS University recently in Dehradun. P.K. Banik, Vice-Chancellor distributed the Training Completion Certificates to students, appreciating the students on this occasion he said that the training of remote sensing will uplift the employability level of students and the trained students will contribute to the development of the country. Addressing the students on the occasion, Dr. R.S. Pathak said that Remote Sensing helps in implementation of various schemes of agriculture on the basis of latest information, “Remote Sensing plays a significant role in various fields of economy as well”, he added. On this occasion Chairman-Er. Anant Soni, Pro-V.C. Dr. Harshvardhan, Pro-V.C. Dr. R.S. Tripathi, Professor R.N. Tripathi, Er R.K. Shrivastava and a number of students were present.

On the occasion of Vishva Jalashaya Divas, the Department of Environment, AKS University organized a Workshop on the topic “Jalashaya Prakritik aapdaon ki jokhim ko kam karne ke liye upyogee (Reservoirs useful for reducing the risks of natural disasters)”. Addressing the students on this occasion, Dr. S.S. Tomar said that the reservoirs are useful for the irrigation and production of electricity, “the big reservoirs have certain drawbacks and these drawbacks need to be neutralized” he added. On this occasion Dr. Harshvardhan, Pro V.C. cautioned the people about the consumption of water and said that the judicious consumption of water is the need of hour. Professor R.N. Tripathi said that the playing with nature may lead to the creation of many problems. Anchoring the function Dr. Mahendra Kumar Tiwari threw the lights on the importance and consumption of reservoirs. A good strength of students and faculty members made the programme a successful one.

Keeping in view the personality development and employment needs of the students, AKS University is going to launch a three months certificate course of Spoken English from 01/02/2017 onwards. It has been noticed that the reputed companies lay emphasis upon the English knowledge of students while selecting them in their companies. Realizing the need of spoken English, AKS University has designed a syllabus of communicative English which will turn out to be instrumental for the students aspiring to learn spoken English within limited frame of time. Emphasis has been laid upon the use of all necessary modern techniques to facilitate the knowledge of spoken English to students in an easier way, and therefore a well equipped language lab has been set up under the guidance and supervision of experts. Anyone who has passed 10th class will be eligible for getting the admission in this certificate course. Informing further, AKSU administration told that apart from the students of AKS University, the outsiders, working professionals, housewives may also get the admission and can refine their English communication skills. Vice Chancellor-P.K. Banik, Chairman-Anant Soni, Pro VC-Dr. Harshvardhan,Pro-VC-R.S.Tripathi have advised the students to capitalize the opportunity by taking the admission in maximum number.
