The faculty members of Civil Engineering department named B.D. Mehra and Harsh Singh participated in two days national seminar organized in Indore Institute of Science and Technology on dated 17/11/16 and 18/11/16 on the topic Green Techno Economical Approaches in Development of Smart City and Role of Science and Technology. During the seminar, experts carried out the brain storming on various topics like smart pole, smart city concept e-waste management and regulation of India, productivity enhancement enrichment of methane gas waste utilization.

Computer Science department launched Swaccha Rahe Bharat and Swasth Rahe Bharat programme under the cleanliness campaign initiated by AKS University. Proceeding the campaign further, the students of BCA and B.Sc (IT) made the people aware about the cleanliness in adjacent areas of AKS University. Visiting the Pareri area of Satna, students encouraged the residents to develop the habit of cleanliness. During the entire cleanliness campaign students were guided by the faculty members of computer science department namely Balendra Garg, Viren Tiwari, and Anand Dwivedi 

          With an objective to update the students with the latest technologies being introduced in field of agriculture, agriculture faculty of AKS University organized a one day seminar on the topic “Reconstruction of Indian agriculture” which was attended by Dr. Raghuvanshmani Pandey, a renowned scientist and President of F.A.I.D.A (Food and Agriculture Integrated Development Action). Speaking on the occasion Dr. Pandey said that the need of hour is to integrate both food and agriculture. Laying the emphasis on natural farming, Dr. Pandey said that the deterioration in agriculture production has been observed in India, despite the fact 70% population of India is dependent on agriculture, in year 1947 the contribution of agriculture to national income was approximately 50% which has now reduced to 12 to 15%. He appealed to seventh semester students of B.Sc. agriculture to suggest the village farmers to carry out the natural farming during their scheduled RAWE programme, Dr. Pandey also advised the students to develop their entrepreneurship skills. During the seminar Vice-Chancellor P.K. Banik, Chairman-Er Anant Soni, Pro V.C. R.S Tripathi, Dr. Harshvardhan, R.N. Tripathi, Dr. R.S. Pathak, Dr. R.S. Tomar, Dr. Neeraj Verma and a large number of students were present.

 Vision India Foundation, in a joint supervision of MSW department organized a training programme at the auditorium of AKS University here on Thursday. On this occasion the members of the Vision India Foundation expressed their views about the significance of surveying. Speaking about it members said that surveying is a work which requires the modifications in regular intervals because there is always the room for improvement in it. People involved in surveying must ensure that the work is transparent and beneficial for the society, it would be possible if it is carried out with full of dedication and in an accurate way. Members of Vision India Foundation named Gondi Mahesh, Maulee Upadhyay and Sabeela Siddiquee conducted a training session on “Data Entry” for the students. A research paper written by Dashrath Patidar, HOD library and librarian Ashish Soni on the topic “Indigenous Material of Preserving Main Script in library” has been able to get the space in an international journal named International Journal of Research in Library Science. The research paper written by faculty members lay emphasis upon the protection and maintenance of mainscript. Apart from the protection of mainscript, the research paper also includes the content related to the protection of language, literature and philosophy.
