Six days Jeevan Vidya Shivir which commenced on 25^th of July in AKS University concluded here on Saturday. Speaking on the concluding day Susheel Singh said that imbalance in nature is the primary cause of all the problems being faced by mankind. Better coordination with nature is the only way through which people can ensure their development. During the Shivir various topics related to balance and imbalance of nature, economic imbalance, depression due to negative mind set, involvement of human beings to get rid of social problems, human behavior, problem solving techniques and human constitution were discussed in detail. Speaking about the education Susheel Singh said that it is the education which changes the overall behavior of an individual and gives him a new direction with co existence. The Shivir was attended by the Dean, Directors and faculty members of AKS University.

Pharmacy Department of AKS University organized the Induction Programme for the first semester students at the auditorium of AKS University. During the programme students were informed about the importance and duties of a Pharmacist. Students were told as to why the job of Pharmacist is acknowledged to be a noble job and he renders his services for a noble cause i.e. for the betterment of society and humanity. Speaking on the occasion, Surya Gupta, Principal, and Pharmacy Department told that academic excellence works as a bridge of knowledge between teachers and students. Sharing the dias Dr. R.N. Tripathi, O.S.D. told about the significance of discipline in education of students. During the programme a large number of students and faculty members were present.

It is no denying the fact that research plays a significant role in higher education, and AKS University is strongly determined to make continuous development of students by creating research aptitude within them. During the PhD programme students will be carrying out their original research works under the guidance of competent subject experts.  In the series of its effort to produce research scholars, it invites the application forms for the “PhD Entrance Test” for the session 2015-16 for the various subjects like Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Management, Commerce, Chemistry, Horticulture, and Soil Science. Last date for receiving the online application form is 27/07/2016 and the Entrance Test is scheduled to take place on 31/07/2016 (Sunday). Mechanical Engineering students of AKS University are enhancing their technical proficiency by receiving practical training in various top industries of the country. 150 students of Diploma Mechanical 4^th semester and B.Tech Mechanical 4^th and 6^th semesters are involved in transforming themselves as industry oriented professionals. The objective of the training is to get the students equipped with the practical applications of the theoretical knowledge they have received in classrooms.

        In order to provide industrial training to Mechanical Engineering students, AKS University has managed to send them in various industries like  B.H.E.L. Ranchi, Advance Training Institute, Kanpur, N.T.P.C. Singraulee, Satna Cement, Bhilai Steel Plant, Durg, and J.P. Cement, Rewa. During the training programme students are being imparted the training related to casting, welding, fudging process, advance manufacturing process in cement plant, manufacturing of cement, crashing and ball mill etc.

    Speaking about the training students told that they are understanding the industrial working process by capitalizing the theory and practical knowledge they have received in AKS University.

Biotech students of AKS University have brought laurels to the AKS University by performing outstandingly in PhD entrance tests of reputed educational institutions of India. Akansha Pandey, student of M.Sc Biotech has been offered the project fellowship by one of the prestigious research labs of the world namely “National Center for Cell Sciences”, Pune.

A combined entrance exam was conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi recently in which the Biotech student of AKS University namely Vijay Shekhar Niyogee, Ankita Bhattacharya, Neeti Kushwaha and Renuka Soni were selected to pursue their higher education.

AKS University has itself developed a world class biotech lab named “center of excellence in biotechnology research and training” which was inaugurated by Union Cabinet Minister Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore during his visit to AKS university, the lab is being utilized for the skill development of students, and it is resulting into the selection of students in various industries of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and food technology.
