Campus Drives are being frequently organized in AKS University, and the students from various streams are being selected by the companies. Extending the series, a company named ‘India Bulls Customers Finance Limited’ came on Saturday for the drive, in which students from BA, B.Sc., B.Com, M.Sc. M.Com and MBA participated. Detailing about it, Director (T&P) told that the campus drive, which had the three steps (written test, group discussion and interview), has been quite beneficial for the students as eight students were selected for the officers post of the company.

 Selected students will get a salary package of Rs 2 Lakhs/Annum, and will be posted in Gurgaon (Haryana) branch of the company. Names of the successful students are: Anchal Patanaha, Kajal Kesharvani, Swati Mishra, Vaibhav Shrivastava, Riya Basantani, Puneet Jaiswal, Abhishek Mandal and Ridhima Arora. Er. Anant Soni (Chairman, AKSU) has congratulated the students with an advice “To be sincere and dedicated” while discharging the duties in company.

In order to encourage young voters to take part in political process, AKS University decided to organize various competitive events wherein students participated with all zeal and enthusiasm. The events like slogan writing, essay writing, painting and debate competitions were organized through which students showcased their embedded talent. Students, on the basis pre-assigned topics, participated in above competitions and performed excellently. “Ideal Voting Center”, “Role of Young people in Democracy”, “Sugam and Samaveshee Voting”, and Simultaneous holding of both LS and VS elections, were the topics on which students performed.

At the end, names of winners were announced where ‘Prateek Nigam in Dabate Competition’, ‘Shreya Jain in Essay Writing’, ‘Balram Sharma in Slogan Writing’ and ‘Satyadev Sahu in Painting Competition’, emerged as triumphant. Dr. Mahendra Tiwari and Dr. Deepak Mishra, who rendered their contribution in successful completion of the programme, told that the students, thus selected, will participate in state level competitions which are scheduled to be held in Barkatullah University next month.

Professor-PK Banik, the Vice-Chancellor of AKS University, participated in AIU Meeting, which was held in Bhopal last week. It was two days meeting, organized in Ravindra Nath Tagore University on 10^th and 11^th of January, which witnessed the participation of almost all the Vice-Chancellors of the Universities, which come within the central zone of India. It was the first occasion when a private University was playing responsibility of organizing the meeting like this in which the intellectuals and educationists from more than eighty Universities made their participation. Speaking on the occasion, Professor-Banik expressed his pertinent and logical views on the topics like Bench Marking, Higher Education Ranking, Rating, Research and Development.

 Describing about the meeting, Dr. Vijay Singh from Tagore University told that the meeting, which commenced from 10.30 AM, was presided over by Jeetu Patwari, Minister for Higher Education. During the meeting, Neeraj Mandloi (Chief Secretary; Higher Education) and Dr. Santosh Chaube, who is the honorable Chancellor of Tagore University, were also present. “The meeting had three technical sessions which were thoroughly utilized by the intellectuals to discuss all the related issues in detail.” He further informed.

Rama Devpani, the Editor of University News, briefed regarding the “minutes of meeting” in press conference. She said that the “Association of Universities” is the governing body of all the Universities of India, and organizes the zonal vise meetings in regular intervals, where the matters related to the higher education are discussed, and the unanimous decisions are taken.

“Under the Industrial Training Programme, students of Electrical Engineering will visit a number of industrial plants to get the extensive knowledge of functioning and maintenance of various machines and instruments operationalsed there” told Rama Shukla, the HoD of Electrical Department of AKS University.

 The Training Programme, which will be of six months duration, will help the students to learn the practical aspects of their class room learning. Besides, the students will be imparted the adequate skills to “face and crack” interviews in a smarter way. Students are scheduled to visit the Kanpur Edible Limited also, where they will learn the functioning of Machine control Unit. All the members of Electrical Engineering department have wished “All the best” to students for their successful training.

9^th and 10^th standard students of government school, Sitpura, were in AKS University last week where they received the valuable information about the curriculum of physical beautician courses running in AKS University. Subject experts present on the occasion, informed the students about Beautician and Boutique courses introduced in current academic session. Chuman Yadav, faculty member (Fashion designing department) extensively informed the students about designing of kids dresses. Also, she shared the information regarding fashion and skin care. Khushbu Paul shared her knowledge about skin care and other related topics of fashion designing.

 Students, accompanied by their teachers named Ramgopal Prajapati and Sulekha Mishra, were found happy and contented after the completion of session. Students also visited the Labs and class rooms of AKS University, and appeared curious to get the admission here for their further studies. During the session, faculty members (AKSU) Mirza Beg, Akhilesh A Wau alongwith dignitaries Dr. Harshvardhan and Dr. RN Tripathi, were present.

Indian Council of Social Science & Research, New Delhi, joining the hands with Mohanlal Sukhadiya University, Udaipur, organized a National Conference on Wednesday, wherein  Dasharath Patidar, Head, Library Department (AKSU) presented his sententious research paper on the topic “Research Ethics and Utilization of Electronic Resource of Social.”

“The national conference was organized on the topic Research Ethics and Utilization of Electronic Resource of Social, and research paper was based on the prevention of the literature piracy.” Informed, Dashrath Patidar. While speaking in conference, he laid emphasis on the invention of certain electronic resources, in view of the dynamic digital age.

 Conference saw the presence of many dignitaries, invited from the various parts of the country. Management (AKSU) has congratulated Dasharath Patidar, with an expectation that the knowledge he’s gained in conference, will be used in AKS University as well.

Dr. Mangleshwar Nath, the Managing Director of Semtech Consultant, Dubai, delivered a lecture on Tuesday where he extensively talked about the various aspects of ‘Environment and General Administration’.  Addressing the audience, he said,” current age is the age of technology and so it’s vital for us to make the optimum utilization of technology.” Explaining the menace of global warming, he cautioned the audience to be more aware about the protection of environment so as to ensure the better future for the upcoming generation. Also, he talked about the “new changes” taking place in science and technology.

 Dr. Nath also highlighted the existing global policies, framed in field of environment and general administration. During his lecture, he touched certain points related to “Green House Effects” as well. He apprised the audience about the views of reputed ‘Global Environmentalists’ regarding Quito protocol, acid rain and Rio-de-Janeirio conference. As it is noteworthy, Dr. Verma is currently posted in Oman Cement Company, Muscat, in capacity of General Manager. He’s been the alumni of NIIT Raipur from where he has completed his B.Tech degree.

 Appreciating the efforts of AKS University, he said, it is actually a “University with difference” which is scaling the heights in field of both education and research. While responding to the queries of students, he detailed the growing career opportunities in field of cement technology. At the end of the session, he wished “All the best” to AKS University in its endeavor to achieve academic excellence.

A “Career Counseling Programme”, for the schooling going students, was organized in AKS University, where 70 students of Government Excellence School were counseled for their career. Notably, AKS University has been organizing the counseling programmes for a long time, and school going students from adjacent districts keep on visiting  the campus where they are  informed about ‘course selection’, ‘current scope’, ‘employment opportunities’ in various fields.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. RN Tripathi said that the syllabus which runs in AKS University, is purely industry oriented and has been designed as per the demand of the industries. Throwing the lights on the facilities, Dr. Tripathi said: “students of AKS University are given the scholarship, education loan, campus placement opportunities as well as the hostel facility so that they may succeed in their endeavor of achieving academic excellence. Briefing about the evaluation system of the University, Dr. Tripathi said that the students of University are given the opportunity to see answer sheets even after the declaration of their results. Also, he informed the students about the various industrial tie-ups set up by AKS University in recent years.

 At the end of the counseling session, career guides were distributed among the students, and faculty members of computer science department shared some valuable information with students regarding the career opportunities in computer. Giving feedback Students said that the counseling session was quite informative and productive one.

When it comes to give the placement to students, the record of AKS University has been unparallel in this region, and it is evident through yet another campus drive which took place on Thursday, wherein nine students were selected by the ICICI Bank.

Students named: Aryan Nagar, Himanshu Gupta, Zaid Mohammed Mirza, Riya Basantani, Shivni Singh Baghel, Shivani Agrawal, Puneet Jaiswal, Kajal Kesharwani and Virendra Vikram Singh were selected by the company HRs, told Director (T&P).

 Selected students will work as “Grade-1 officer” in ICICI Bank. Management (AKSU) has congratulated the students for their success. The names of the members (T&P) who contributed in successful completion of the drive are: Balendra Vishwakarma, Manoj Singh and Prachi Mishra.

Agrohan Yadav, the retired Mines Manager of Maihar Cement, on Tuesday joined the cement technology department of AKS University. Notably, Mr. Yadav, for the last 32 years, had been rendering his services to Maihar Cement Industry, in capacity of Mine Testing Manager. Taking over the responsibilities, he said: “AKS University is a fast growing University and an educational hub of Vindhya region”. 

Agrohan Yadav, at the initial stage, will be playing the responsibility of developing the Testing and Calibration Lab, and will shape up the students (B.Tech & Diploma) as per the demand of cement industries. On the new joining of the people in department, GC Mishra (HoD, Cement) said that the University has now secured a galaxy of experienced faculty members, who are in a “Mission” of producing the competent professionals for the industries.
