 Two days workshop, which aimed at receiving certain suggestions from the intellectuals, was organized in AKS University on Friday. On his inaugural address, PK Banik, the Vice –Chancellor told that the HRD Ministry, which was keen to bring certain reforms in National Education Policy, constituted a committee, which recently submitted its report to central government, thereafter, the Universities have been advised to give their suggestions to build up a consensus on National Education Policy. The draft prepared by the Kastoori Rangan committee, has already been uploaded in official website of HRD Ministry.

Starting the “Brainstorming Session”, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the objective behind the constitution of National Education Commission, and its way of functioning. He laid emphasis on the need of Liberal Art Education, and briefly informed about the education policy, and suggested certain points from his side.

  Speaking on the occasion, Singhai Sanjay Jain, a renowned Chartered Accountant of the District, suggested that the educational institutions must be brought under section-25 of the company act. Taking note on the optimum utilization of financial resources, he said bringing all the educational institutions under section 25, will encourage investment, and will ensure the maximum transparency in functioning of these institutions.

Pro-VC Dr. Harshvardhan gave his sinceare suggestions on transformation of regulatory system, and its systematic monitoring. In his suggestion, Professor GC Mishra talked about the optimum utilization of resources and their availability.

Guru-Dakshina, the play which reflected the vivid scenes of Dwapar age, mesmerized the audience when staged at the jam packed auditorium of AKS University. The theme of the play, which touched the soul of the audience, was portrayed magnificently by the artists, who had been trained by the Cultural Directorate Department of AKS University.

The conversations, took place between Eklavya and Dronacharya, and Arjuna & Dronacharya, were beautifully and vividly displayed in the play. Delicate and compassionate staging of various scenes like Eklavya, relentlessly practicing archery standing in front of the portrait of Guru Dronacharya, fulfillment of Dronacharya’s promise given to Arjuna, and the thumb demand of Dronacharya from Eklavya as Guru Dakshina, were presented outstandingly in the play.

Artists named Amit Shukla, Rohit Khilwani, Ranjana Bunkar, Puja Sen, Akshay Balecha, Shubham Jain, Payal Gupta, Devendra Verma, Shilpa dwivedi and Swati Prithwani, gave the outstanding performance, and received the big round of applause from the audience.

“Culture Directorate department of AKS University, is organizing a 30 days workshop, where students are being given free of cost training on Fine Arts”, told Director, cultural department of AKS University, adding that the training like this, will  help the students in development of their presentation skills as well.

 Khushbu Pal, one of the trainers in workshop, told that the students are being trained on various fields of Fine Arts like Technique with colour, conceptual art, colour therapy, Art material and their uses, sketching, drawing, painting, designing differently, best out of best and art exhibition etc. “The workshop, which runs between 10 AM to 12 PM, is aimed at ensuring the holistic development of the students”, she informed.

Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, in collaboration with Pharmacy Department of Kathmandu University, organized an International Conference in Kathmandu, where Surya Prakash Gupta, the Principal of Pharmacy Department (AKSU), was felicitated with “Principal of the Year” Award. He received the award from Upendra Yadav, the Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal, with certificate and mementoe.

Dr Gupta, who was invited as a guest, got the opportunity to chair one of the technical sessions of the conference as well. He, on behalf of AKS University, had one to one discussion with delegates of other countries, and exchanged valuable information pertaining to research activities going on in their respective institutions. Also, he updated them about the research and development programmes, running in AKS University. The conference held on the topic “Improving Health Care through Education” and was attended by the delegates of India, Korea and Finland and host Nepal.

 Dr. S P Gupta has been congratulated by the Management and all the staff members of AKS University, with an expectation that he would continue to achieve the milestone like this in future as well.

A Symposium, on the occasion of Child Labour Day, was organized in AKS University on Thursday which was attended by the officers of Labour Department, and the staff members of AKS University. Speaking on the occasion, S S Pateriya, the Labour officer said that the laws to prevent the child labour are being strictly enforced, so that the substantial result could be obtained. Hemant Kumar Daniel, another officer present at the venue, informed the audience about the role of Labour Department in dealing with the menace.

 Labour Inspector Vedmani Dahiya threw lights on the comparative role our society to cope with the problem of child labour. Sharing the dais, Er. Anant Soni, the Pro-Chancellor expressed concern over the child labour, and suggested certain steps for the upliftment and rehabilitation of the children involved in it. Programme was directed and anchored by Dr. Deepak Mishra.

DCM Sri Ram Limited, a leading agriculture company, selected 10 students through a telephonic interview, held in AKS University on Wednesday. Names of selected students are: Bahave Gupta, Shivam Chaudhari, Rahul Singh, Om Singh, Rajesh Patidar, Shakti Patel, Santosh Patel, Pankaj Singh, Ritesh Umre and Tarun.

 Selected students will occupy the position of “Field Officer” in a salary package of 1.80 lakh/annum. They will be posted in various locations of the company like Bhopal, Narsinghpur, Barelie, Semariya and Java etc. Management (AKSU) has congratulated the students, and advised them to give their best to the company, where they have been employed in.

Noted Artist Savitha Dahiya, now a days working to develop the Rang-Munch skills of the students, and her efforts seem to get paid off as her trainees are getting trained in each and every aspect of theatre wings. Thirty days workshop, which is free of cost for the students, is helping the trainees in acquiring adequate knowledge of the theater as they are learning all the technicalities of the Rang-Munch.

 According to Savita, students are being trained in various sides of Rang-Munch such as acting and improvisation, voice and speech techniques, theatre games and expressions, physical movements, thought process and imagination, building a character, types of acting, marks and head gears, costume designing, character makeup and  drama performance.

 Students, while performing in theatre, are getting ample opportunities to inculcate acting skills within them. The workshop, usually known as “Summer Break Workshop”, is aiming to ensure the holistic development of the students.

Agriculture Department of AKS University is set to organize a National Conference in month of September, wherein, the subject experts from all over India will participate to share their knowledge and experiences with learned audience.

Informing about it, Neeraj Verma (HoD, Ag) told that the conference will be organized on the topic Biotechnology and Sustainable Agriculture in Doubling of Farmer’s income by 2022, and is scheduled to take place between 5th to 7th of September.

 “The conference will be sponsored by MAPCAST, and will be held in joint supervision of Society for Bio-Informatics and Biological Science and AKS University, Satna”, he further informed.

Once again, the campus drive took place in AKS University, this time KJS Cement Industry, came here on Saturday, and selected the students to fill the vacant positions of the company. Selected students named Shivam Singh and Vinay Singh Baghel, who are diploma, cement technology students of AKS University, have been selected as “Trainee Chemist” in Quality Control Department of the company. During the campus drive, Students had to go through the tough selection process, adopted by the HRs, which included group discussion, written test and personal interview.

 Earlier, the Drive started with PPT presentation, through which students were informed about the company profile, thereafter, other steps of the selection process started.

 Selected students will get a salary package of 1.80 Lacs/annum, and will be posted in Maihar region of the company. Selected students have been congratulated by Er. Anant Soni (Pro-Chancellor), with an advice: “Justify your selection by giving fantastic performance to the company”.

“K J S Cement Industries organized a campus drive in AKS University on Saturday, through which the students of cement technology (both B.Tech and Diploma) were brought under scanner, and were selected at the end of all three phases of the drive”, informed Director, Training and Placement (AKSU).

 The Drive started with PPT presentation given by the HR Managers of the company, which included the information related to the company as well as the work profile of the employees. Drive had the three steps written test, group discussion and personal interviews. Selected students will serve the company in capacity of “Trainee Quality Controller”. Successful students have been congratulated by the management (AKSU) and have been  wished “all the success” for their future endeavors.
