Abhimanyu Singh, Student from B.com. (Economics) second year brought laurels to the AKS University by securing first position in ‘All India Open Karate Championship’ held recently in Masoori. Abhimanyu won the championship by defeating the opponents in many levels. Chairman-Er. Anant Soni and all the staff members (AKSU) have congratulated the student for his achievement.

Er. Anant Kumar Soni (Chairman, AKSU) was in China last week to participate in “China Mining Conference and Exhibition 2018” where he had the long interaction with mining experts came from across the globe, and apprised them about the mining courses running in AKS University. Also, he told them about the innovative approach being adopted by him while teaching and developing the skills of the students.
AKS delegation, which included Er. Anant Soni, GK Pradhan and the students from mining department, participated in conference along with the top brasses of mining institutes like Hindustan Copper, Coal India and GSI. Three days conference which began from 20th of October witnessed the huge participation of people invited from 150 different countries.
Experts present on the occasion discussed the new technologies being introduced in mining sector as well as the issues like: pollution control, steps taken for the development of mining sector, automation, application of human less machines, improvement in quality of production and mining security. The high tech machines, being utilized in mining now a days, were also displayed during conference.
AKS deligation, standing on its stall, shared some valuable information with visitors regarding IT, pollution and mining. Students participated in conference named Ashish Kumar and Vishal Dubey termed the visit a “golden learning opportunity” for them.
Students from Food Tech (AKSU) named Vishal Thakur (B.Tech, third year) and Girish Kumar Kariya (B.Tech, second year), secured second position in International Asia Food Safety Competition organized recently by CIA-SKA. 164 teams from ten countries, under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Dave, Chairman, CIA, participated in competition and showcased their knowledge and skills. Both the winning students have been invited in Dubai for the further training. Er. Rajesh Mishra (HoD, Food Tech) congratulated the students for their achievement.
Seventh semester students of agriculture Department, under the RAWE programme, organized a “Kisan Sangoshthi” in Gobranv Khurd Village of Satna district. In Sangoshthi, students had the broad discussion with the farmers, and learnt the problems faced by them during farming. Faculty Members present in Sangoshthi actively participated in discussion, and proposed the solutions to their agricultural issues. Points which were discussed during the Sangoshthi were related to the procedures through which agriculture could be made a profitable business. Farmers were also apprised about the schemes launched by the government for modernization of agriculture, advance technological development in farming, Kaushal Vikas Programmes, Green House etc. Extending the talk on the occasion, Dr. Bhumanand Saraswati said that the need of hour is to increase the accessibility of agricultural machines and technologies up to the small and marginal farmers. Adding further he said, if we have to make the farming a profitable business, then the advance technology will have to be used in larger extent. Also, he emphasized on the need of carbonic farming.
Chief Guests of the sangoshthi were: Dr. Doomar Singh, Dr. RC Pandey, Vice-Sarpanch Munni Devi and Secretary Madhav Singh while the students named Shivam, Bakram, Vishal, Ashish, Aditya, kuldeep, Bhavesh, Khemchand, Akhijeet, Raman and Lalit played an active role in making the programme a successful one.
AKS University got one more feather in its cap when it received the “Excellent University Award-2018” in a grand function organized in capital Bhopal on Tuesday. The function was organized by the MP, Private University Regulatory Board to celebrate its 10th Foundation Day, where RS Tripathi, Pro-VC (AKSU) received the prestigious award on behalf of AKS University. In other categories, Dr. Kamlesh Chaure, HoD, Biotechnology (AKSU) was conferred the “Excellent Teacher Award” while AKS students named Riya Khilwani (Biotech), Akansha Pandey (Dept.of Basic Science) and Pramod Dwivedi (Dept. of Mining Engineering) received “Best Students Award” with medals and certificates.
Hailing the efforts of AKS University, Akhilesh Pandey (President, Regulatory Board) said that the AKS University, due to its academic excellence, has been able to secure a thumping position among the best private Universities of India. He, on behalf of Regulatory Board, wished AKS University “all the best” with expectation that it will continue with its endeavour to achieve academic excellence in future as well. On this occasion, VC-Institute of Law, Vijay Kumar; President CG Regulatory Board, Anjani Shukla; HP Private University Regulatory Board, K K Katoch; VCc and Pro-VCs of many Universities were present to make the programme a successful and memorable one.
Library department of AKS University, joining the hands with National Virtual Library and Ministry of Culture government of India, organized a workshop on Friday where participants received the information regarding the recent technological developments taking place in Library science. Akhilesh A Wau, on his inaugural address, shared the technological information while Dashrath Patidar took a note on the functioning of “Koha Open Source Software” which is widely used in libraries now a days. The workshop was attended by almost all the staff members of AKS University, and at the end, Dashrath Patidar thanked the participants for making their esteem presence.
Students, belonging to various faculty of AKS University, are given the opportunity to visit industrial places & workshops, which helps them in strengthening their knowledge of theoretical subject. In this series, students from Business studies (MBA & BBA) attended three days training programme, organized by the Angel Broking (Indore), a well known name in field of Stock Broking. During the training, students were trained on various aspects of stock market like trading stocks, equities and derivatives etc.
Shweta Singh and Prakash Sen, who accompanied the students during the programme, told that the main objective of the visit was to enhance the knowledge of students pertaining to various activities of stock market, so that they may increase their employability to work as Manager and Stock Broker in future.
Addressing to new coming students of MSW, Pro-VC-Dr. Harshvardhan said, “social work is a discipline which has been designed for a noble cause as it aims to work for the sake of humanity, plenty of job opportunities, both in government and private sectors, are available for the students of social work”.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor-RN Tripathi advised the students to be more focused on studies to get the better command over subject. Dr. GP Richhariya, Dean-Biotech, said that the Department of social work is set to produce a team of promising professionals who will bring necessary changes in society through their sincere services. Manju Chatergee, HOD-MSW, on this occasion, shared some important information related to syllabus and subject content of the social studies.
Agriculture Department of AKS University on Saturday organized a two days programme titled “Agrifest-2018” which witnessed the huge participation of the students. The function, which aimed at promoting the innovation instinct of the students, was inaugurated by Chancellor-BP Soni by cutting the ribbon. With a view to expose the embedded talent of the students, a number of events like Mehandi, Rangolee and class room decoration were organized, in which students showcased the colors of their skills.
Taruna Shukla was selected for the first prize in Mehandi Competition while the Rangoli competition was won by Vidyasagar and group. One of the another events named “Classroom Decoration” also dragged the attention of the people where 34 class rooms were decorated by the students on the basis of certain agricultural themes, the competition was won by Abhishek and group. Another event titled “Ab Aai banner ki Baree” witnessed the decoration of hundreds of banners reflecting the thoughts of their exhibitionist, the event was won by Deepak Mishra and group.
Judges had to go through the tough time while selecting the winner of the Poster Presentation, finally a Poster, which had the inclusion of innovative procedures of cultivation and harvesting, won the first prize. During the prize distribution ceremony, winners were given the certificates and mementoes, which was followed by the variety of cultural programmes, where Mr. Shakti Shukla and Miss Asmita Mishra were selected for Mr. and Miss Fresher awards respectively.
Students brought laurels to AKS University by winning first prize in an all India level competition held in capital Bhopal on Friday. IISER, Bhopal organized a “Scientific Fest” between 5th to 7th of October where 27 students from AKS University, along with the students from IITs, NITs and IISR, participated in various scientific competitions, and won the first prize in an event named “Domino Effect”. Participants and scientists present there at venue, appreciated the works of AKS students.
Speaking about the Domino Effect, students (AKSU) told that the nerve cells, fixed inside our body, transmit the information from one place to another, and their functioning had been exhibited through the model named “Domino Effect”. Hailing the performance of the Students, University sources told that the students, while departing for Bhopal, were looking confident, and the ‘end result’ reflects their dedication and determination.
AKS students participated in 15 events named Petridis, Pacaso, Domino effect, Quiz, Code play and Looking glass etc, where they performed exceptionally well. In one of the events named “Event Sark Tank”, students (Evancy, Sinit and Drishti) achieved the second position. Students of Basic Science (Pavan, Vijay, Omjai Prakash, Ravi, Lavkush, Abhishek, Prakash and Saurabh) performed excellently by securing place in final, in an event named “Computer Game Code Play” In an event named Petridis Picaso, AKS students shocked the opponents through their outstanding performance and secured second rank. Dr. Neelesh Roy, along with his colleagues, Dr. OP Tripathi, Saket Kumar, Virendra Pandey and Puneet Chanpuriya, guided and encouraged the students throughout the programme. Er.
