PK Banik (Vice-Chancellor,AKSU) attends the AIU Meeting

Professor-PK Banik, the Vice-Chancellor of AKS University, participated in AIU Meeting, which was held in Bhopal last week. It was two days meeting, organized in Ravindra Nath Tagore University on 10th and 11th of January, which witnessed the participation of almost all the Vice-Chancellors of the Universities, which come within the central zone of India. It was the first occasion when a private University was playing responsibility of organizing the meeting like this in which the intellectuals and educationists from more than eighty Universities made their participation. Speaking on the occasion, Professor-Banik expressed his pertinent and logical views on the topics like Bench Marking, Higher Education Ranking, Rating, Research and Development.

 Describing about the meeting, Dr. Vijay Singh from Tagore University told that the meeting, which commenced from 10.30 AM, was presided over by Jeetu Patwari, Minister for Higher Education. During the meeting, Neeraj Mandloi (Chief Secretary; Higher Education) and Dr. Santosh Chaube, who is the honorable Chancellor of Tagore University, were also present. “The meeting had three technical sessions which were thoroughly utilized by the intellectuals to discuss all the related issues in detail.” He further informed.

Rama Devpani, the Editor of University News, briefed regarding the “minutes of meeting” in press conference. She said that the “Association of Universities” is the governing body of all the Universities of India, and organizes the zonal vise meetings in regular intervals, where the matters related to the higher education are discussed, and the unanimous decisions are taken.
