It is worth mentioning that the road safety week is being run from 13 to 19 January. On this occasion, students of AKS University of Satna participated in the 31st Road Safety Tour.The program organized by Police Station, Satna. On the occasion of road safety week, slogans were written on the placards related to road safety and traffic rules. Additional SP Gautam Solanki flagged off the bike rally from Police Parade Ground. On this occasion, the students also drew attention to the common people about not following the rules of traffic, driving vehicles after drinking alcohol and its consequences with pictures containing information about traffic rules. In this program more than 25 students of AKS University were participated. All the staff were present with the Traffic Police Department.
Students of Biotechnology, MSc Microbiology have been selected in the prestigious Company and Research Labs of the country. Achintya Acharya, a student of B.Tech biotechnology, has been selected at world's renowned company Biocon Limited, Bangalore, where he will serve in the company after a six-month internship. In this sequence, Preeti Patel M.Tech. Biotechnology has been selected in the AIIMS bhopal on Junior Research Fellowship. Ritu Pandey, MSc, Biotechnology has been selected for DBT Junior Research Fellowship with Ph.D in AIIMS Bhopal .It is noteworthy that well equipped research laboratories in the Department of Biotechnology in AKS University, help in the upliftment and development of the students so that the future of the students can be bright. Tushar Gandhi, the great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi was in AKS University last week to participate in a symposium organized on 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Addressing the audience on the occasion, he said: “We must change ourselves prior to bringing changes in society.” The AKS staff welcomed each and every statement of the speech with “big round of applause” as it was fully drenched with the “Gandhian philosophy”, a philosophy which may bring “drastic changes” in one’s personality, if implemented positively. Speaking on Mahatma Gandhi, he said, “The messages of Bapu are quite relevant and motivate us to become a good human being.” Laying emphasis on the need of freedom, he said the people of the country must enjoy the complete freedom only then the innovative ideas will generate, and these ideas will be shaping the destiny of the country. He said: “We need to have the faith on our inner strength to achieve the desirable goal of the life.” Throwing lights on the education system of India he said, “Our education system is deprived of the freedom, and its various entities like teachers, students and institutions, may be termed “slaves” of it. He said: “Now a days, the objective of education is to get the good job and the students are satisfied to become a “commodity” only. He appreciated the “Swacchata Abhiyan” of the government but lamented for “non-cooperation” of the people in successful execution of this campaign. At the end of the programme, BP Soni, the Chancellor, expressed his gratitude towards Tushar Gandhi for making his esteemed presence in AKS University, while “vote of thanks” was proposed by Professor RN Tripathi.
National Mining Day was “Magnificently” celebrated at the central hall of AKS University among the esteemed presence of Vinodanand Kalundiya, the Director of Mining and Mining Safety, Jabalpur and Sandeep Kumar Singh, the Director of Indian Bureau of Science and Technology. Both the dignitaries shared valuable information regarding “Intricacies of Mines and Mining Engineering.”Addressing the students, Vinodanand said: “The students are required to be well informed about the glorious history of mining as it is a huge field to be explored.”Sandeep Kumar Singh, during his lecture, appreciated the facilities and existing infra structure of AKS University. The faculty members from mining department (AKSU) also “shared the dais” to apprise the students about usefulness and significance of Mining Day. In addition, the events like Quiz competition, Poster competition and Speech competition, were also organized, in which students participated with full of enthusiasm.Other dignitaries who made their presence included: Pro-Chancellor, Er. Madhya Pradesh Sthapana Diwas was celebrated in Education Department of AKS University on “01/11/2019”, the date, when the state came into existence, 64 years ago. The programme commenced with the “Warm Welcome” accorded to the guests, which was followed by the melodious “Madhya Pradesh Gaan” sung in “chorus” by the people present at the ceremonial hall of the University. During the programme, an “Oath” was also administered to the people, where they pledged to leave no stone unturned to work for the progress and prosperity of the state. Some cultural activities and sport competitions were also organized on this occasion. The special attention was dragged by the food stalls, which were setup by the students, and their dishes were termed extremely delicious by the visitors. During the function, Pro-Chancellor, Er. Anant Soni; Dr. Harshvardhan, Professor, RN Tripathi; Dr. RS Nigam, Dr. GP Richhariya, and all the faculty members from Department of Education, were present.
144th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Patel, which is being observed as National Unity Day, was celebrated at Vivekananda auditorium of AKS University, on Thursday. Throwing lights on the effulgent life stories of Iron Man, Dr. RS Mishra, HoD (Education) narrated as to how a man belonged to a simple family, became the Architect of Modern India. On this occasion, a series of cultural activities were also organized which had the themes related to the sovereignty, integrity and national unity of the country. A Quiz competition was also organized by BD Patel and Anuruddh Kumar (faculty members) in which participants responded excellently on the matters related to the life and achievements of Sardar Patel. Faculty members-Narendra Kumar and Shikha Tripathi shouldered on the responsibilities related to the Debate competition while Poornima Singh organized sports and other activities under her supervision. Dr Kalpana Mishra, Ranu Soni and Neeru Singh also contributed to the various cultural events organized at the auditorium.
Communicating their messages on National Unity Day, Director, Amit Kumar Soni; Pro-VC, RS Tripathi; Professor RN Tripathi and Dr. RS Nigam, in a same tone said: “India has been a land of sages, and has been built by our ancestors laying down their lives for the protection of its cultural and religious heritage, and now it’s our responsibility to carry forward their legacy with full of sincerity and gravity.” At the end of programme, prizes were given to the participants, who participated in various cultural activities.
Mining students of AKS University were in IIT Kharadpur last week where they participated in Mining Quiz and Case study competition and grabbed second position, shocking to their opponents came from reputed IITs and NITs of the country. Students of AKS University named Vaibhav Dhar, Ritesh and Prashant demonstrated their talent among the gracious presence of the dignitaries like HoD Mining (IIT Kharagpur) Debashish Deb; Dr. Khaneendra Pathak, Dr. SK Das, MP Dixit and BK Prusti, who kept on giving big round of applause to AKS students, during the competition.Pro-Chancellor, Er. Anant Soni, Vice-Chancellor, PK Banik; Pro-VC, Dr. Harshvardhan; Engineering Dean, Dr. GK Pradhan; Dr. RS Tripathi; Engineer RK Shrivastava; Professor S Das Gupta, have congratulated the students with expectation that they would continue to exhibit the thumping performance like this in future as well.
A “#Guest_Lecture” was organized in @Food_Technology_Department of AKS University, which was delivered by Engineer Umesh Namdeo, who is currently associated with Rivigo group, and has rendered services to the companies like Pepsico, Cadbury and ITC, in past. Addressing to 50 students of Food Technology, Er. Namdeo shared information regarding food industries, its technical needs and the growing employment opportunities in this field. At the end of lecture, a Q/A session was organized where he responded to the queries of students. Alongwith the students, faculty members named Dr. R S Pathak, Rajesh Mishra, Prafull Gautam, Devendra Pandey, Vikas Singh, Shakti Singh, Aswini Gautam, and Shiv Kumar Maurya, were also present. After the lecture session, Umesh Namdeo visited the University campus and appreciated the existing infrastructure of AKS University. At the end, he wished all the best to students and advised them to reap the maximum benefit of the educational facilities being provided by AKS University.
A series of Guest Lectures titled “@PopularGuestLecture Series”, has been started in AKS University, under which, Guest lectures are organized in regular intervals, extending the series, this time, chemistry department organized the lecture, which was delivered by Dr. AP Mishra, who is the Professor in Dr. Hari Singh Gaur Central University, situated in Sagar, MP. While delivering the lecture on Bio-chemistry Interface, Professor Mishra said: “The demand of Bio-chemistry is increasing with passage of time, which is directly proportional to the increasing job opportunities in this field.” During his lecture, Professor Mishra talked extensively on R&D, project management, scope and growing employment opportunities in the field of Bio-chemistry. On this occasion, a large number of students from M.Sc., B.Sc. and Bio Technology, with their faculty members named Dr. Dinesh Mishra (HoD), Dr. Summit Kumar, Nahid Usmani, Sushma Singh, Dinesh Balmik and Sundaram Khare, were present.
