30 faculty members from various faculties of AKS University were trained under the Faculty Development Programme organized recently in Department of Computer Science. The 15 days programme, which commenced from 25th of June, under the guidance of experienced and proficient trainers, helped the faculty members in learning the topics like internet, E-mail, blogging and networking. Trainers named Madhuri Soni, Akhilesh A Waoo, Shivani Patanha, Shankar Bera, Vijay Vishvakarma and Shweta Gupta actively participated in programme. Briefing about the FDP, Akhilesh A Waoo (HoD) said that the programmes like this will continue to take place in future as well.

AKS University has been conferred the “Best Innovative University in Central India Award-2018” in a function recently held in capital Bhopal. Ajay Soni, Director (AKSU), in a gracious presence of educationists, top officials and intellectuals, received the prestigious award at the hands of Deepak Joshi, Minister for Higher education (MP Government).

 As it is well known, AKS University, in past as well, has been awarded the “Leading University in Central India-2018 award” by the Chief Minister of MP. In a survey carried out by the India Today Group, AKS University has been ranked 27th among the private Universities of India. University has now become a center of curiosity for the students due to quality education, and various research activities being carried out in its campus.

AKS University, in past, has been conferred the awards like  “Educational National Excellence Award”, “Best Innovative University Award” and “Most Innovative University in MP Award” in various forums. AKS University, for this achievement, is being congratulated by the intellectuals, educationists and various sections of the society.

Through campus drives, students belonging to various faculties of AKS University are getting the opportunity of appearing and cracking the interviews. In this sequence, AKS University, which has been ranked 27th among the 400 Private Universities of India, which has been conferred with the “Leading University in Central India,2018” award,  has organized yet another campus drive, where Belco Pharmaceutical Limited came to recruit the students for the post of “Trainee Chemist”. After the completion of final round, three students were selected by the recruiters. Names of selected students are: Shivam Kumar Pandey, Shubhanjali Garg and Deepak Pandey.

Students have been selected on a salary package of 1.8 Lakhs/annum. Principal (Pharmacy), Surya Prakash Gupta; Director T&P,MK Pandey; TPO, Balendra Vishwakarma, Prachi Mishra and Manoj Singh, have congratulated the students for their selection.

Food Production Unit of International Flight of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Andheri, has selected the six students named Harsh Tarkar, Rahul Pratap, Anirudh Patel, Jahnvi Gautam, Monika Uike and Vivek Kumar Tiwari (all from six semester, B.Tech Food Technology, AKSU) to impart the training for the food safety audit of the foodstuffs, served in international flights.

 “After the completion of one month training, all the six students will complete their internship training programme also from the same Aviation Unit”, Rajesh Mishra (HoD) said.

Notably, students selected for the training will learn the auditing of both processed and unprocessed food following the guidelines of FSSI. Interestingly, students thus trained will also get geared up to get the permanent job here in Aviation Unit.

 Rajesh Mishra (HoD, Food Tech) has advised the students to receive the training with full dedication as the training thus received will open the new doors of opportunities for them.

Dr.GK Pradhan, Dean, Mining Engineering (AKSU) recently participated in an ‘Annual Function’ organized by Odisa Economic Magazine named “Bhumi”. On this occasion, a National Seminar was also organized by District Mineral Foundation at hotel Nafiar of capital Bhubaneswar, where Dr. Pradhan was invited as the Chief Guest. 200 delegates belonging to various institutions of India participated in seminar. During the programme, the delegates talked extensively on District Mineral Foundation’s role in development of mining sector. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. GK Pradhan said that the efforts of Bhumi are really commendable, and it will give the positive results in future.  The seminar was attended by Ex Chief Commissioner, Pro. Radhamohan; Advisor of Chief Election Commissioner,Dr. Bhagvan Prakash; Social Activist,Murlimanohar Sharma; Co-ordinator of District Mineral Foundation,Avinash Mishra; Editor of Bhumi,Satyavrat Panda; Member of Science & Environment,Shreshth Banarjee and Assistant Editor of Bhumi,Dr.Reena Rotroy,were present. Sir Kaitkee was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session, while the Member of Planning Commission- Jagdanand was the Chief Guest of Valedictory function. The amount collected by the District Mineral Foundation will be used to assist the mining affected families of India.
