To mark the occasion of “No-Tobacco Day”, the Department of Social Work (AKSU) organized a symposium on Friday, where, BP Soni, the Chancellor (AKSU), initiated a “Signature Campaign” to create awareness among the people of society.  The guests, attending the function, apprised the audience about the ill-effects of tobacco, and urged them to work in creating awareness among the masses for not using this deadly product.

 “Increasing number of mouth cancer cases have been detected in Vindhya region, which is also a matter of concern for us” cautioned Chancellor, adding that the smoking in public places causes the negative impact on the health of non-smokers as well.

 It was further informed that the section-4 of IPC prohibits the people for smoking in public places like government buildings, theatres, hospitals, stadium, hotels, shopping malls, coffee house, court premise and bus stops.

During the programme, Chancellor, BP Soni; Pro Chancellor, Anant Soni; Vice Chancellor, PK Banik; Pro VC, RS Tripathi; Pro VC, Harshvardhan; Professor,RN Tripathi; Dr SC Rai, GP Richhriya, Mahendra Tiwari,Manju Chaterjee, Kamlakar Singh and the students in a large number, were present. At the end, all the students assembled in auditorium where they were administered the oath to say “No” to Tobacco, and the products made of it.

AKS University, a noted educational institution of Vindhya region, organized a campus drive of Indus Rock Tools, in which students from mechanical and electrical engineering (2019 Batch) were selected to occupy the position of Service Engineer, in this company.

 “It was a three layer process, which was successfully cleared by the nine promising students of University. The Drive started with the PPT presentation of the company, followed by group discussion, written test and personal interview”, informed Director (T&P).

 Students named Md Ajuddeen, Vinay Sharma, Vijay Awasthi, Maneesh Soni, Sachin Garg, Lavkush, Ajay Rajput, Md Aasim and Prakhar. They have been selected on a salary package of Rs 2 Lakhs/annum. Er. Anant Soni, the Pro-Chancellor (AKSU), has congratulated the students with an advice to give their 100% to the company where they have been employed in.

“Outstanding Performers in Academics” were feted in a grand function, organized in AKS University on Tuesday. “Intazar karne walon ko utna hi milta hai, jitna koshish karne wale chhod jate hain”, quoting the famous lines  of Dr. Abdul Kalam, BP Soni, the Chancellor of AKS University, exhorted  the students to put extra  efforts, and acquire  “number one position”  in their  respective fields. This year, 275 students turned out to be “deserving” for the prestigious scholarship award of AKS University. All those students, who are the member of the “Students Chancellor Club”, and scored more than 80 % marks in their semester exams, were entitled to receive the reward.

Students, who were given the Scholarship:  Names of students who were felicitated during the function are:  Satish Sahu-Rs 17,500, Amaranth Tiwari- Rs 17.500, Rudra Jaiswal-15,000, Laiba Rehman-15,000, Mayank Sharma-12,900, Tarun Sakre-12,900, Vivek Singh-12,900, Ram Sarovar Sahu-10,500, Robin Singh Chandel-10,500, Ankit Pandey-10,500, and Aman Vajpayee-10,500.

Management (AKSU) has congratulated the students, and wished them “all the best” for their future endeavors.

AKS University, which is the “Remote Centre” of IIT Mumbai, organized a workshop on Wednesday where faculty members got the opportunity to learn the various intricacies of “SAI Lab”. Informing about it, Akhilesh Waoo (HoD, CS) told that the workshop was aimed at transmitting the valuable information on “SAI Lab”, which is an open source software, and is used in various scientific operations of engineering and technology.

 During the workshop, the participants were informed about the applications of SAI Lab in mathematics and simulation, 2D and 3D visualization, optimization, statics, control system; signal processing, application development and dynamic system modeling. Also, it plays an important role in research related activities.

 The workshop was organized under the successful guidance of Dr. Akhilesh A Waoo and Atul Deep Soni, and it was attended by the faculty members named Diwakar Dubey, Maneesh Agrawal, Gauri Richhariya, Dr. Sudha Agrawal, Dr. Ekta Shriwastava, Dr. Bharat Raj, Dr. Neelesh Rai and Saket Kumar. All the participants termed the workshop as “Interesting and Informative one”.

Under the guidance of Rama Shukla (HoD, EE), sixth semester students of electrical engineering successfully completed their project works, and these projects are being termed “Versatile” by the Management (AKSU). Other faculty members named RK Shrivastava, DC Sharma, Gauri Ricchariya and Ashutosh Dubey, kept on guiding the students throughout their project works.

 Students named Puja, Prachi and Kalpana, working as a team, prepared Direct Online Starter and Three Phase Induction Motor, which they demonstrated amid the presence of their faculty members.

 Priyesh and his friends prepared DC Panel Designing Panel Belt for load characteristic DC series while Vijendra and friends made a Designer Solar Panel, which uses bulb to measure the voltage, and is capable of giving maximum 90 degree output.
