20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated at the huge auditorium of AKS University to pay homage to the brave souls, who laid down their lives for India’s victory during the Kargil war in the year 1999. The function was organized in joint supervision of Poorv Sainik Seva Parishad, Satna, Veterans India, and Satna unit of Ehsas foundation. Brigadier SP Singh, who was present as the Chief Guest, addressed the gathering with his emotional speech. He, in his speech quoted: “Each and every soldier deployed at the battlefield, has the supreme patriotic emotions and believes that his existence depends upon the existence of the nation. Security of the nation is his first and foremost priority, and is always ready to safeguard the territorial integrity of the nation.”

Presiding over the function Chancellor-BP Soni said: “The atmosphere is emotional today as we have been reminded about the details of the Operation Vijay.” The atmosphere got electrified with the slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” when the wives of the martyrs named Rajdulari Singh w/o Late Babulal Singh, Geeta Singh w/o Late Samar Bahadur Singh, Sudha Singh w/o Late Kanhaiyalal Singh and Santosh Kumari w/o Late Kailash Kushwaha, were felicitated for the supreme sacrifices of their respective husbands.

Commemorating the sacrifices of the brave soldiers, culture events were also organized at the auditorium, and the certificates were distributed to the participants.  Programme culminated with the recital of the National Anthem and the slogans of “Jai Hind and “Jai Bharat”.

Students of AKS University, along with the students of Lagargawan Primary school, took out a rally to create awareness of education among the people. AKS Students took this opportunity to explain the advantage of education, and its role in shaping up the future. Satwik Bisariya, the RAWE co-ordinator said: “It is our responsibility to ensure that the students attend the school.” While marching on rally, students kept on chanting the slogans in favour of education, till they reached the school.Students, during the rally, were supported and encouraged by the Principal-Sushma Singh; Sarpanch-Raja Kushwaha, Jai Kumar Mishra, Utkarsh Singh Sengar, Utkarsh Upadhyay, Sarvajeet Dwivedi, Shivam Kumar Shukla, Ajay Jaiswal, Sahil Golhani, Yashwant Golhani, Nandoo Singh, Rajendra Sahu, Amit Kushwaha, Atul Rodge, Rakesh Patel, Aakash Gupta, Ramakrishna Patil, Rajiv Mongre, Sagar Prasad Rohini and Veer Singh.

The Fine Art Department of AKS University is set to organize a “Grand Exhibition” on dated 7th, 8th and 9th of August, informed Neeru Singh, one of the faculty members of the Department. “Associating  different styles of the textures, a new style will be developed which will lead to the  development of various crafts like vaas painting, canvas oil painting, mix media, and water colour painting”, she further informed.

In view of the preparation for Final Exhibition, some workshops are also being organized, in which students of AKS University along with some other students of the Satna city, are participating.

Agriculture students of AKS University, during their RAWE programme in Sohawal Block of Satna, took out a rally on the streets to create awareness among villagers regarding the conservation of water. Students, under the guidance of Co-ordinator Satwik Bisariya, came out in a procession, where they got the support of the school going children of the village. Students, at the end of the rally, interacted with the children and gave biscuits and toffees to them.AKS Students also visited the primary school of the village, and saw the execution of Mid-Day meal programme of the government. They advised the kids to wash their hands ‘thoroughly’ prior to having meal.The faculty members who rendered their contribution in successful execution of the programme included SS Tomar (Dean) and Neeraj Verma (HoD). RAWE-Group-16 students named Pankaj, Indrajeet, Deepak, Avinash, Milind, Mukesh, Neelesh, Hemant, Pradumn, Sundaram, Aakash and Aman, also played a key role in smooth functioning of the programme.

Students of B.Tech, 3rd year (Electrical Engineering) have been sent to the reputed companies like Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited, Bhopal and Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Plant, under the vocational training programme, designed especially for the students of Electrical Engineering, informed Director, T&P on Thursday. “It will be a 30 days training, same as the training programme, which had been designed for the second year (Diploma & B.Tech) students of the University”, he further informed.

As it is well known, two students of AKS University named Lavkush and Mohit, after the completion of their Internship in Kanpur Edible Oil, were selected by the same company in a reputed position.

 “The training programmes like this play a significant role in placement of the students”, opined Rama Shukla, HoD, Electrical Engineering, adding that the Professors of the department named DC Sharma, Ashutosh, Diwakar, Acchut Pandey, KK Tripathi, Ravi Nagvanshi and Ajay Singh, have been guiding the students throughout the training programme.
