Aiming to give maximum employment opportunities to students, AKSU has been organizing the campus placement programmes in regular intervals. KJS Cement, one of the reputed cement companies conducted a placement drive in AKSU on sunday. Speaking about the drive M.K. Pandey, Director T&P told that 17 diploma students of cement technology were selected by the interview panel. On this achievement of students AKSU Chancellor Mr. B.P. Soni, V.C. Paritosh Banik, Pro V.C. Dr. Harshvardhan, Dr. G.C. Mishra congratulated the students and wished for their success in future. During the placement programme Adarsh Singh, Balendra Vishwakarma, Manoj Singh and Monu Tripathi extended their valuable contribution for making it a successful one.

Dr. Kaushik Mukharjee, faculty member, AKSU participated in seven days faculty development programme held in Academic Staff College, Allahabad University from 07/12/2015 to 13/12/2015. Faculty development programme was organized on the topic “Education and Professional Development” in which a large number of faculty members participated. Participants addressed the audience and expressed their views on various aspects of education such as “Ethics in Higher Education”, “American and British System of Education”, “How to be an effective Teacher”. During his address Dr. Mukharjee also imparted valuable information to participants.

When it comes to provide placement to students, the record of AKS University has been unchallenged in this region, proving the statement, AKSU organized a “Close Campus Drive” on saturday. Capital Booster, Indore based stock exchange company selected 40 (forty) students of AKSU. Students from MBA/BBA, BCA & B.Com participated in drive and exhibited superb interview skills and now they will be working as “Business Analyst” in company. On this achievement of students Chancellor Mr. B.P. Soni, Chairman Engineer Anant Soni, Pro.V.C. Dr. Harshvardhan congratulated the students and wished them ‘all the best’ for their bright future. 

With an objective to develop highest level of skills and knowledge, the fifth semester students of B.Tech. Agriculture visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Agriculture Science Centre) situated in Majhgawan. During the visit, students got the opportunity to meet Dr. Kaushik, Director, KVK, and learnt the intricacies of Watershed Management. On this occasion, Dr. Kaushik shared his knowledge with students and told as to how “watershed management trechence” and “water and soil erosion” can be reduced. Students also gained knowledge about Bolder Burns and Dam Technique. Speaking about the visit B.Tech. Ag faculty member Mr. K.N. Singh said that the visit has been quite informative for students in terms of gaining practical knowledge.

A Four-Day International Seminar on Cement production was organized from 01/12/2015 to 04/12/2015 at Manekshaw Auditorium in New Delhi. Chief guest of the inaugural ceremony was Mr. Amitabh Kant, Secretary of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. The delegation of AKS university comprising Chairman Engineer Anant Soni, Pro V.C. Dr. Harshvardhan, Dr. G.C. Mishra (Director Cement Technology), Dr. P.K. Majumdar (HOD, Civil), Mr. Mittal and Miss Neeraja Shukla participated in Seminar. On this occasion, subject experts expressed their views on “Cement production and energy conservation” and presented their research papers.

With a view to up rise the quality education and inculcate research aptitude in students, AKSU has launched the Ph.D. Programme on thursday. In this occasion AKSU Chancellor Shri B.P. Soni said that it is vital and important to encourage research aptitude among the students, he said that innovative research work plays a major role in sustaining the quality of education and benefits the society as a whole. Sharing the dias Vice-Chancellor Dr. Paritosh Banik said that the students are required to be involved in their research work with full of dedication. In his address AKSU Chairman Engineer Anant Soni said that it would be his responsibility to ensure all required facilities to students in their research works, he further added that this effort of AKS university will give chance to not only upcoming talents from the area but also give platform to national and international talents, and this would be our real achievement. Laying the emphasis on the research objectives and its various dimensions Pro V.C. Dr. Harshwardhan said that the research scholars need to maintain the quality of their research work. The induction programme was anchored and directed by Professor R.N. Tripathi and vote of thanks was extended by Engineer R.K. Shrivastava. On this occasion, all directors, deans, department heads and students were present. 

Agriculture students of AKS University organized the “Literacy Week” in Devra Village of Sohawal Block with the objective to create literacy awareness among the villagers, the students met the parents and appealed them to send their children to school. The efforts of AKS students resulted into the increase in number of presence of students in schools. Besides this, the AKSU students carried out the survey of entire village and apprised the villagers about the benefits of cleanliness and agricultural insurance. Villagers were suggested to attend the Gram-Sabha in regular intervals for the quick solution of their problems. During the entire programme AKSU students received the valuable support from the village head, secretaries and villagers. Arzoo Bano, Chitralekha Singh, Deepshikha, Monika Soni, Meenal Dubey, Priyanka Pandey, Puja Patel, Parul, Rani, Shilpi, Saroj, Shailu, Seema and Pronita Mandal were the part of programme.

Hand writing competition was organized in AKS University on Monday. 450 students participated in this competition to showcase their writing skill. Hand writing Expert Mr. Anil Kushwaha told that the aim of holding competition was to improve the hand writing of students and to refine their written presentation. 

When it comes to provide the placement to students in reputed companies, the AKS University’s record has been unchallenged in this region. “Scope Telecom” a Chandigrah based company has given its affirmative nod to organize campus drive in AKSU. T&P head Mr. M.K. Pandey told that campus will be held for diploma and B.tech students of Electrical Engineering. The company will offer the post of Junior and Graduate Engineer to students.
