In a joint supervision of MSW department and Samaritan Society (a social organization), an awareness programme was organized here on Tuesday, which was presided over by Dr. Harshvardhan, Pro-VC, AKS University. On this occasion, Father Rony, Director, Samaritan Society informed that the person intending to donate the blood, may get himself registered as a donator, and may donate the blood as per requirement. If any person needs the blood, may visit the website, and can access the blood donator, as and when required, “awareness programme held like this, is an initiative to help the needy during his or her tough moments” He said. Dr. Mahendra Tiwari, HOD, Environment stated that blood donation done by one person, can save the lives of three people. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harshvardhan said that donating blood is an auspicious work, and it develops a cordial relation between donator and receiver. At the end of function, Rajiv Soni, HOD, Social Work extended vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and students, for making the programme a successful one.

AKS University, The Educational Hub of Vindhya region, will now receive the benefit of the services of two experienced and highly expert faculty members, named Karuna nath Bhattacharya and Virendra Kumar Singh. Both are acknowledged to be the subject experts in their respective fields. With the appointment of these two faculty members, the students of Cement Technology will get benefited immensely as they would now be receiving world class knowledge in days to come.As far as the Profile of Karuna Nath Bhattacharya is concerned, he has 35 years of experience under his belt, and has rendered services to Lafarge, a Canada based company, in capacity of General Manager. He has worked in many companies based on Canada, Oman and Nigeria like countries in past.As far as the Profile of Virendra Kumar Singh is concerned, he has been working in Maihar Cement for the last 45 years in capacity of General Manager.With the appointment of these two high profile and experienced faculty members , the entire staff of Cement Technology as well as the students, have expressed pleasure, and hoped that the department will now touch  new heights in years to come.

Five promising students of AKS University got the opportunity to participate in two days workshop, which was organized by the Larsen and Toubro Power Training Institute, situated in Badodara, Gujarat. Sharing their experiences, participants named Dharneesh Singh Parihar, Susheel Gautam, Lalit Dwivedi, Ankit Soni (Civil Engg.) and Ankit Singh (Mechanical Engg.) told that the workshop was based on the topic “Environmental Challenges in Energy Sector”, and its main objective was to carry out the extensive discussion on negative impact of pollution on our existing environment, so that its menace, and deceases caused by it, could be prevented. The workshop was organized between 14th to 15th of September, in which the Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board, and the engineers from all over India made their presence. At the end of the workshop, participants were distributed the certificate of participation. Participants of AKS University were congratulated by Chairman-Er Anant Soni, Vice Chancellor-Paritosh K Banik and Dean G.K.Pradhan, and were advised to share their knowledge with others as well.

A programme on “Entrepreneurship Awareness” was held at the Conference Hall of AKS University on 11th of September, which was attended by Dr. Sanjay Maheshwari, Director, Birla hospital and S. B. Singh, who is the Civil Surgeon in district hospital, Satna. Sharing his views on the occasion, Dr. Maheshwari said that new and innovative research is the only way through which Pharmacy field can attain a new dimension, and it should be the responsibility of educational institutions and Universities to create an environment, which is conducive to the research and development, so that young entrepreneurs could be produced, therefore Research Guides must ensure that  the research work is genuine, and should be completed within fixed period of  time, he further added. Dragging the attention of audience towards the medicine revolution, Dr. Maheshwari said that the pharmaceutical companies like Ranbaxy and Sipla occupy the top positions owing to the comprehensive and lofty thought processing of their Patrons. Advising to pharmacy students of AKS University, he said, that the students need to be focused on research, and should think out of box i.e. innovative one. Sharing the dais, Narendra Sharma said that the nation is observing an atmosphere of entrepreneurship all around, and youngsters are coming forward to develop themselves as entrepreneur. Addressing to audience, Dr. S.B. Singh said that the field of pharmacy has an unlimited scope, as far as employment possibilities are concerned. At the end function, Dr. Harshvardhan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AKSU, extended the vote of thanks to the guests and audience, who made the programme a successful one through their presence.

 Two students from B.Sc. Agriculture have been able to get the admission in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central University (Pusa) Bihar, where they will carry out their research work as a research scholar. Both the students, named Prabhakar Singh and Praful Patel appeared in an examination organized by Indian Council and Agriculture Research (Junior Research Fellowship) in month of June. As per the rule, students selected like this, become eligible to get national talent scholarship amounting Rs 36,000/anum and hostel facility provided by Government of India. Prabhakar Singh has been selected for the Agri Business Management, and Praful Patel has been selected for Molecular Biochemistry. Both the students have given the credit of their success to highly developed educational system and competent faculty members working in AKS University. Chairman-Er Anant Kumar Soni and Vice-Chancellor Paritosh K Banik have congratulated and advised to students to work hard during their fellowship programme.
