Staff members from Mechanical Department of AKS University, were in Jabalpur on Tuesday to participate in “National Seminar” held under the joint supervision of AKS University and the Institute of Engineers, a Local center of Jabalpur Chapter.  The seminar was held on the topic “Advances in Mechanical Engineering”, which saw the Paper Presentation of Research scholars, arrived from various parts of the country. Also, the dignitaries present on the occasion, inaugurated the “Souvenir”, an Annual letter of AKS University, which contains the description of research activities, going on in AKS University.

 National Seminar, simultaneously, got associated with one more programme, held on the occasion of “World Water Day”, wherein, keynote speakers presented their views pertaining to the efforts being made by the administration, in field of water conservation. The seminar was attended by the top officials of AKS University named: Anant Kumar Soni (Pro-Chancellor), Dr. Harshvardhan (Pro-VC), Dr. GK Pradhan, Pro-GC Mishra, RK Shrivastava, who apprised the audience about the seminars and various other programmes, organized by AKS University in recent past.

 Other members, who participated in programme included, Dr. Maneesh Chaube, Dr. LK Patel, Dr. Pankaj Shriwastava, Ketan Agrawal, KP Tiwari, Abhinav Shrivastava, Alok Ranjan Tiwari, RN Shukla, Aman Soni, Shailendra Singh, Ekta Shrivastava, Gauri Richhariya and Vasundhara Namdeo. Programme was anchored by Sanjay Verma, and “Vote of thanks” was proposed by Prakash Chandra Dubey.

“Electrical Engineering students (from both B.Tech and Diploma) are taking part in three days Workshop, which is being organized under the joint supervision of DST and NIMT”, informed Rama Mishra, the HoD of Electrical Engineering Department. The Workshop, which began with the worship of Godess Saraswati, witnessed the series of lectures, starting from the speech of RK Shukla (District Co-Ordinator, MSME), who shared his views on the importance of the “Entrepreneurship development”. Thereafter, Parmanand Prasad, the Chairman, Sai Electrical Private Limited, advised the students to develop the “Entrepreneurship stinct” within them. Also, he urged the students to develop a “Fighting attitude” especially at the initial stage of their business. His lecture was followed by the speech of Madan Mohan Mishra, who delivered the lecture on the topic “Internet of Things”.

The three days Workshop which will complete on 1^st of March, will be a good source of information for the students as it will convey the “knowledge in abundance” pertaining to entrepreneurship. The workshop is being attended by almost all the faculty members of electrical department named: Ravi Nagvanshi, Ajay Singh, Acchut Pandey, KK Tripathi, Diwakar Dubey, Birendra Patel, Madhu Soni and Deepa Shukla.

A three days workshop on Favicral Hobby Idea concluded on Thursday amidst the morale boosting presence of Er Anant Soni and Dr. Harshvardhan.  On the closing day of the workshop, the guests observed the items decorated through Pable art, Bottle art and Tie & Dye, and appreciated them. Notably, these arts play an important role in Interior designing. Approximately eighty students of AKS University participated in workshop. Other members who rendered their contribution in workshop are:  Khushbu, Neeru, Chuman Yadav, Renu Singh and Priyanka.

A Guest Lecture was organized in CS Department of AKS University on Thursday, which was attended by almost all the faculty members and students of the Department. Dr. DS Rajput, the Keynote Speaker, came from Vellore (Tamilnadu) University, delivered lecture on the topic “Internet of things” where he talked about the process of connecting various devices of both software and hardware.

 He, on the basis of his experiences, discussed certain parameters, which according to him, play an incredible role in enjoying a successful life. Also, he apprised the students about the existing employment opportunities in field of computer. At the end of session, Dr. Rajput was honored with “Memento” while other participants received “Participation Certificates” from the senior officers of the University.

Under the Industrial Training Programme, sixth semester students of commerce, reached Universal Cables Industry on Friday where they visited the various manufacturing units operationalised over there. Students, under the guidance of Dr. Dhirendra Ojha (faculty member, AKSU), learnt the various steps of production process like selling, casting and supply etc. SPM Tripathi, the Personal Manager of the company, guided the students during entire visit.
