Food Technology Department of AKS University is set to organize a four days Kaushal Setu Skill Development Programme exclusively for the students of 2^nd year and 3^rd year. As it is well known, the training programme will be organized in a joint supervision of AKS University and a Bhopal based organization named Khushi Samajsevi Shiksha Prasar Samiti. The main objective of training programme is to impart training to students on Beverage, Bakery and Confectionery technology.  As far as Beverage training is concerned, the students will be trained exclusively on Alchohal, Soya Milk and Soya Paneer, where Bakery is concerned, students will be trained on preparation of various Bakery items like bread, cookies, Brawny, upside down pineapple,keromal clustered, walnut pie, backed cheese cake, baked progart, pumpkin. Training in confectionery technology will include the preparation of sugar candy, Toffee and chocklet. Members of Khushi Samajsevi Sanstha named Hemant Roy-Joint secretary and Sandhya Bhagat- Secretary will actively take part in training programme. The training programme will be organized under the guidance of Dr. C.K. Techchandani-Director, Food Technology, Dr. Rajesh Mishra-HOD and Snehal Singh- Faculty member from Food Technology Department of AKS University.

Campus placement activities are continuously taking place in AKS University, in this series; Axis Bank organized a campus drive here on Tuesday. In Campus Drive, 50 students from various streams like MBA and BBA participated and appeared in an online test. Two students named Riya Kapdi and Amita Singh Chauhan were selected for the post of Assistant Manager in salary package of 3.49/annum. On this achievement of students, Er. Anant Kumar Soni-Chairman, P.K.Banik-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harshvardhan-Pro VC, Dr. R.S.Tripathi-Pro VC, and R.N.Tripathi congratulated and wished them “all the best” for their bright future.

Acknowledging the importance of practical training, AKS University keeps on organizing the training programme for the students; it helps the students in learning the functioning of industries. In this series, AKS University organized three days training programme in NMDC, Kirandole Complex (Bailadeela, Chhattisgarh) on the topic Safe Practice in Blasting and Handling of Explosives. The programme was inaugurated by Vinay Kumar, Managing Director,Kirandole Complex and anchored by Dr.G.K. Pradhan. During the function subject expert Professor S.0. Jayantu from IIT, Raurkela passed on the extensive information to students on blasting and safety. This is the third time AKS University has organized the training programme in Bailadeela.

               One of the significant results of the training programme was the appreciation received from the people for the initiative taken by AKS University. As it is well known that the training programmes like these have been the part and parcel of curriculum, and these are instrumental in uplifting the efficiency of the students which results into “100% placement of students”.  

Mamta Pandey, Mayor, Satna made her presence at the auditorium of AKS University and conveyed detail information to students and the staff members about the Swacchata Abhiyan App. While conveying the information about the app, she urged the people to give their valuable suggestions using the App. She asked the people to send the photographs in app if the garbage and mismanagement is noticed by them. Speaking about the development of Satna in recent years she said that the people of Satna have seen the successful implementation of various schemes like Jalavardhan Yojna, Amrit Yojna and Awas Yojna.”Our next plan is the fixing of sever lines in Satna city” She promised. On this occasion Varun Sharma, one of the members of Swacchata Abhiyan conveyed the extensive information to people about the App and requested them to send the sincere suggestions so that the dream of developing Satna as a smart city could be realized. During the programme P.K. Banik-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harshvardhan-Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor R.N.Tripathi and the students in large number were present.

Rama Sharma, faculty member from Agriculture Department has been awarded the Doctoral degree on the  topic Studies on the diversity of fish fauna in relation to phisico chemical parameters of upstream of Tamas river under the guidance of Dr. Shivesh Pratap Singh,HOD, Zoology, Government Degree College, Satna. Speaking about her research work Rama Sharma told that the water of Tamas River is drinkable and there are 39 varieties of fishes available in the water of Tamas thus it provides the tremendous opportunity of employment to youths in field of fish production. On this achievement, Rama Sharma was congratulated by Chairman-Er Anant Kumar Soni, Vice Chancellor-P.K.Banik, Pro VC-Dr.Harshvardhan, Pro VC-Dr.RS Tripathi and Dr. Neeraj Verma.
