Thirty students from Diploma (Mechanical and Electrical) were selected by the Seamless Pipes Limited Maharashtra in a campus drive held here on Saturday. Students were selected on the basis of their performance in written test, group discussion and interview. Informing about it, Director (T&P) told that the selected students will work as “Trainee Engineer” on a salary package of Rs 2 lacs/annum.

Notably, the record of AKS University has been unparallel in providing placement to students as it is evident through the frequent arrival of the companies in University. Selected students have been congratulated by the Management (AKSU) for their success.

The Bio-Technology Department of AKS University, joining the hands with Make Intern Group and Vicken Event IIT, New Delhi, organized a two days workshop on the topic “To understand the complexity of Life from Molecule to System”. In workshop, students from B.Tech- Biotech made their active participation and received the “Hands-on Training” on advanced techniques of biotechnology. Informing about it, department sources said that the students were trained on various aspects of biotechnology like cell culture technique, molecular Biology technique, DNA sequencing, and chromatography (TLC, HPLC).

Students received training under the supervision of Dr. Saikat Roy, who is the approved trainer of LSSSDT (Life science sector skill development council). Notably, the top ten performers of the workshop will represent the AKS University in Vicken event, which is scheduled to be held in IIT Delhi, on October, 2018. The workshop will help the students to carry out their internship in top research organizations of India.

Names of faculty members, who rendered their contribution to programme are, Sreyansh Parsai and Arpit Shrivastava.

Under the RAWE programme, seventh semester students of B.Sc, Agriculture, organized a “Kisan Sangoshthi” in village Kulgadhi on Friday. During the programme, students, in presence of co-ordinator Satwik Bisariya, had the long conversation with the farmers, and learnt their problems.  Faculty members present on the occasion, had the detail discussion with the farmers, and proposed the solution to their agricultural issues. Dheerendra Chaturvedi discussed about the ways to increase the ‘agricultural production’ while Doomar Singh took a note on the ways to ‘protect the harvest’.  Sharing his views, Gopal Upadhyay said that the technology is going to play a vital role in turning the agriculture into a profitable business.

  Head ( Sarpanch) of the village Kulgadhi, who had the deep conversation with the Professors of AKS University, extended his thanks to co-ordinator Satwik Bisariya, and requested him to organize the programme like this in future as well. At the end of the programme, Rajesh Gautam proposed the” vote of thanks” to all the Anna-datas (Food-Providers) for making their presence in ‘sangoshthi’. Students named Shivam Kushwaha, Akhilesh Parmar, Pankaj Patel, Mitesh Patel, Vipul Patel and Sumit Tiwari rendered their contribution to make the ‘sangoshthi’ a successful one.

Department of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (AKSU) organized a programme on Thursday to mark the occasion of World Pharmacist Day. Complementing the gathering on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr. DN Gautam, (Ex CMHO, District hospital Satna) said that the “Pharmacist” is a significant “Post” which has given a new dimension to medical profession. Also, it gives an ample opportunity to serve the mankind at their juncture.  Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Narendra Sharma said that the responsibility assigned to pharmacist, is quite useful for the society, so it needs to be handled with full of sincerity and gravity. Sharing the dais, Dr. SP Gupta, Principal, Pharmacy (AKSU) apprised the audience about the importance, origin and objective of celebrating Pharmacist day.

 On this day, seniors and juniors were administered the oath of maintaining dignity of the post of Pharmacist. A quiz competition was also organized on the theme “Pharmacists your medicine expert”, which was held especially for the pass out students, and was won by Mayuri Patel, an ex student of pharmacy.

 At the end of the function, variety of cultural activities like extempore, poster competition, scientific rangoli and speech competitions, were also organized, which witnessed the huge participation of the students. A health camp was also set up where the health check-up of approximately 400 students was carried out. The programme was attended by the top officials (AKSU) and almost all the staff members of pharmacy department.

Research Scholars of Physics Department (AKSU) named Virendra Kumar Vishwakarma, Firdaus Nawaz and Anish Tiwari participated recently in a national conference held in capital Bhopal. Informing about it, University  sources told that the conference had been organized by CSIR on the topic “Recent Innovation on Advance Material” in which students presented their research papers, and left good impression on judges by scoring 41/60 marks.

Notably, the conference was attended by the 200 research scholars belonging to various states of India. Speaking about their research, students said that they are working on producing nano fiber based electro chemical devices which will be echo friendly and good conductor. Luthiam based energy procedures, which are produced now a days, are not considered to be echo friendly, and have the adverse impact on the environment, but the devices invented by the students will be echo friendly and would get decomposed easily. The credit of students performance entirely goes to the Neelesh Roy, under whose guidance students performed extremely well.

 On this achievement of students, Chairman- Er. Anant Soni and VC- PK Banik, have congratulated the students, and wished them “all the best” for their research career.
