Students (AKSU) set to do their project work in CSIR, CBRI Roorkee

Students named Garima Tamrakar, Virendra Vaishya, Anshul Gautam and Nikhil Mishra (all from civil engineering), have recently been selected by CSIR, CBRI Roorkee for their projects, related to the civil engineering. Garima will be completing her project on “Durability of concrete and fire resistance of self compacting concrete” under the guidance of Dr. Monalisa Badhera and Virendra on the topic “Design against progressive collapse failure of precast concrete”, which he will complete under the guidance of Dr. Mickey Meckan. Staying there in Roorkee, Anshul, under the guidance of D Raju, will complete his research work on the topic “Bamboo reinforced concrete structures” while Nikhil will complete his research work on the topic “Retrofitting of concrete”, under the guidance of Dr. HC Arora. Notably, Central Building Research Institute is the only institution which helps the students in their research and development projects. Informing further, students told that the training, thus received, will help them in creating job opportunities in research and development projects of both government and private sectors. Students have been wished “All the best” by the Management (AKSU) for their projects.
