In order to strengthen the practical knowledge of the students, AKS University has developed the “Learn while you do” system, which plays an important role in skill development of the students. Under this programme, mining students, in supervision of Avadhesh Pandey and Aalok Varnwal (faculty members, AKSU), recently visited the Hutty Gold Mines, between 19th to 25th of August. During the visit, students, along with faculty members, received detail knowledge of extension, transportation and processing. In addition, students also learnt the various functioning of gold mines such as gold recovery, disposal, underground working through drilling and blasting, and amalgamation of water and fine powder. Also, students got the opportunity to have the interactive session with the experienced mining engineers, working there in gold mines.
