A Training Programme on “Remote Sensing” Begins in AKS University

Faculty of Agriculture Science and Technology of AKS University organized an online training programme on basics of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System and Global Navigation Satellite System under the supervision of Dehradun. On the first day of training programme Dr. Santhil Kumar, Director-IIRS, Dr. Sarnam Singh and Dr S.K. Shrivastava delivered online introductory lectures to 200 students of various branches like B.Tech Agriculture, B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Agriculture, and B.Tech. Civil, and B.Tech. Mining. Informing about it Maneesh Kushwaha,Co-ordinator-training programme told that under the programme subject specialist will impart the online training to students on the topics like basic principles of remote sensing, earth observation sensors and plateform,spectoral signature of different land cover feature, visual image interpretation and micro remote sensing. During the inaugural day of training programme Er. Anant Kumar Soni-Chairman AKS University, Dr. Neeraj Verma, Dr.Nandram, Dr.Bhumanand Swami, Md. Aseem, Afsarika Azami, Rama Sharma, Raveesh Dwivedi and Dhreendra Dwivedi were present.
