Two days Workshop on “National Education Policy”

Two days workshop, which aimed at receiving certain suggestions from the intellectuals, was organized in AKS University on Friday. On his inaugural address, PK Banik, the Vice –Chancellor told that the HRD Ministry, which was keen to bring certain reforms in National Education Policy, constituted a committee, which recently submitted its report to central government, thereafter, the Universities have been advised to give their suggestions to build up a consensus on National Education Policy. The draft prepared by the Kastoori Rangan committee, has already been uploaded in official website of HRD Ministry.
Starting the “Brainstorming Session”, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the objective behind the constitution of National Education Commission, and its way of functioning. He laid emphasis on the need of Liberal Art Education, and briefly informed about the education policy, and suggested certain points from his side.
Speaking on the occasion, Singhai Sanjay Jain, a renowned Chartered Accountant of the District, suggested that the educational institutions must be brought under section-25 of the company act. Taking note on the optimum utilization of financial resources, he said bringing all the educational institutions under section 25, will encourage investment, and will ensure the maximum transparency in functioning of these institutions.
Pro-VC Dr. Harshvardhan gave his sinceare suggestions on transformation of regulatory system, and its systematic monitoring. In his suggestion, Professor GC Mishra talked about the optimum utilization of resources and their availability.
Dr. Kamlesh Chaure presented a systematic plan for the establishment of a research foundation, which will encourage and assist the scholars in carrying out their research works on the topics related to the health, industries and social reforms.
Anchoring the session, Dr. RN Tripathi told that the suggestions thus collected, will be compiled and thoroughly examined, and then forwarded to HRD Ministry by 30th of June.
