Satna. Dr. Ram Lakhan Singh Sikarwar, Professor, Department of Environment, AKS University Satna, has been awarded for his special contribution in the field of biodiversity conservation and public botany. He has been awarded the Pushpangadan Biodiversity Access and Profit Sharing Award. Every year the award is conferred by the Pushpangadan, theCheritableSociety inTrivandrum,Kerala,in the honour of Dr. P.Pushpangadan, who has been honoured with the Padma Shri, Norman Warlog, Equator Initiative and other national and international awards. Dr. Sikarwar was awarded with the emolument mark certificate and citation amount in a special program organized on the occasion of National Science Day at National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. He has also been given other distinguished awards in the past. The award was given to Dr. Sikarwar by Dipa Kaul, eminent scientist, Dr. KN Ganeshiah and Director of National Botanical Research Institute, SK Barik. The deans, directors and faculty members of all the departments of AKS University Satna expressed their happiness and congratulated Dr. Sikarwar on his achievement.
