NCC Day was celebrated by the cadets in the premise of AKS University Satna. Addressing on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of National Cadet Corps, it was informed that it comprises Navy, Army and Air Wings which are involved in grooming the youth of the country into a disciplined and patriotic citizens. Addressing the program, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that NCC is a volunteer organization. The youth studying in schools and colleges can join it as per their wish. NCC cadets are called the youth wing of the country's army. Engineering Administrator Engg. R . K . Shrivastava referred to the war with Pakistan in 1965 and 1971, when NCC cadets were sent to ordnance factories so that they could help in sending arms and ammunition to the soldiers who were fighting on the front. Along with this, they were also used as patrolling parties to capture the enemy's paratroopers. The special thing is that the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi has also been an NCC cadet. Prof. G.C. Mishra advised students to join NCC. He said, "you are the first and it is a mandatory condition to be an Indian citizen. Along with this, it is necessary for the students to be mentally and physically fit. TPO, M. K . Pandey described the NCC as an organization to encourage students to join the army during school time. In the next sequence, the Head of Management Department, Dr. Kaushik Mukherjee told from his experiences while in the army that NCC is for both boys and girls. There is Junior Wing and Senior Wing for Girls and Junior and senior Division for Boys. Lieutenant Prachi Singh explained the rules of unity of duty and discipline and informed that the certification in NCC is given. A certificate to junior cadets who complete two years of training, B certificate to senior students after completing two years of training. While NCC C certificate is given to those students who complete three years of training. Mirza Samiulla Baig told the forum that the minimum age to join NCC is 12 years and the maximum age is 26 years. Pro . Rajiv Bairagi said for the establishment point that the NCC was started on 15 July 1948 under the National Cadet Corps Act. The NCC was the second line of defense in the wars against Pakistan. At the end of the program, it was told that the NCC Day celebration gives a sense of national dignity. In the ongoing vaccination campaign against covid-19 in the country, the youth who are seen in Army Uniform at the Vaccine Centers are part of NCC. During the program cultural programs were presented and the rationale of NCC Day celebration was also explained by the participants.
