Addressing as the Chief Guest on the occasion of award distribution program of Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Department of AKS University Satna, under the Atma Project organized in the auditorium of AKS University Satna, Member of Parliament, Ganesh Singh said that India is an agrarian country, all the forward looking changes are taking shape in the field of agriculture. Addressing the agricultural vendors and the people present in the auditorium, he said that if Satna district has got the reputation of tomato market, then a big work should be done in this direction and farmers should get the soil tested, the production of cash crop has reduced now, instead it should increase. He praised the project started by Atma and said that if the shopkeeper is aware of the diseases that have come in the field of agriculture, then he will increase the crop of the farmer by giving the right medicines and if he is not aware then the pesticides given to him will turn into losses than profits. We have increased the production of food grains, there has been good production of pulses. If we talk of more benefits, then sowing of soybean, gram and pulses crops and soil testing has been completed by this year. The sole profit kept for these crops was Rs. 5000 thousand. He also observed the production of cucumber and rose garden in poly house of AKS University and advocated that similar work need to be updated among the farmers. He highlighted government schemes with crop insurance and support price. Young entrepreneurs should learn new technology and Students of agriculture should visit and study in model villages which will inspire them to do good work. Milk, Curd, Paneer, khowa, vegetables etc. should also be handled as such that people engaged in such enterpreuneurship, may earn good profits in the district. In the program, Dr. Kuril threw light on the works of Daisy Atma Project and discussed the facilities available to the farmers. Vedprakash Singh said that the first batch of 2017 has been prepared optimally, while this is the second batch, they will be proficient by having 40 classrooms and 8 field visits. At the end of the program, MP(Satna Constituency) Ganesh Singh and other people gave certificates from the platform. University's Pro Chancellor Anant Kumar Soni, told that AKS University Satna is continuously training farmers in the field of advanced farming in collaboration with agriculture scientists, with the goal of taking employment-oriented work with farmers of 40 blocks. He thanked all the guests. The program was conducted by Prof. Wyohar. In the distribution of certificates the presence of distinguished guests and members of faculty was remarkable. The graceful presence of Pro Chancellor, Anant Kumar Soni, Per Vice Chancellor Prof.R.N. Tripathi, Chairman of MPPSC, Prof. Wyohar, DDA BL Kuril, facilitator Dr. Vedprakash Singh, Prof. SS Tomar, Dr. Neeraj Verma, Satvik Sahai Bisaria, Prof. Ayodhya Pandey, Santosh Pandey along with other faculty and students of BSC Agriculture encouraged the participants.
