Mining Day celebrated in the Mining Department of AKS University, Satna

Satna. A virtual program was organized on the occasion of Indian Mining Day from October 31 to November 2, 2020 by Department of Mining of AKS University, Satna, in which Mr. Bhola Singh, Director, CCL Ranchi, said that the future of Indian mining industry is bright. The Indian mining industry has contributed significantly to the development of India. Mining Department is the leader in the self-reliant India program being run by the Prime Minister of India. On the first day of the event, Indian Mining Day was celebrated by AKS University along with the whole of India. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Rajneesh Purohit, Regional Controller Indian Bureau of Mines, Government of India. He gave a comprehensive information on the changes and employment prospects in the non-coal sector. Along with University's Six pass out students Pankaj Sateeja, Tata Steel Nagendra Triveni, Earth Movers S. K. Rawat, Dalmia Cement participated in the program. Students also shared their experiences. Thousands of students from 29 institutions took part in the mining quiz in the national online competition on the third day of the program. They were also awarded online. In the program elaborat discussions on Mining Technology, Coal Mining, Mining Research and Safety in India and new innovations, took place. On this occasion Dr. P.K. Singh, Simfer, Mr. Vinodanand Kalundia, DGMS, Jabalpur, Pro Chancellor of the University, Anant Kumar Soni, P.K. Palit, Eng. RK Srivastava, Dr.Harshvardhan.Dr. GKPradhan, Prof. Anil Mittal, Prof. Dasgupta, Dr.B.K., invited dignitaries and other people shared their views.
