An Associate Professor Dr. Dhirendra Ojha posted in the Department of Commerce of AKS University published a Research Paper in association withPriyaJain a ResearchScholar in AKSUniversity. She has co-authored the research paper for Inspira Group of Journals an International Journal of Advanced Research in Commerce and Management Volume 4 No.  2 (1) in April-June, 2021. The topic of the research paper was Impact of Fraud on Indian Banking Sector. It has been observed that Public Sector Banks have a higher share of Private Sector Banks.  There were more cases as compared to banks and also the total amount involved in PSBs is much higher as compared to PVBs.  Least cases of fraud were reported from local area banks.  The report shows that there has been an increase of 28 per cent in volume terms and 159 per cent in value terms in comparison to the previous year.  Advance related fraud has the maximum impact of all banking frauds in India due to the high value involved.
